The crew is an extension of the driver. Hothead driver equals hothead crew. If I ever get blessed to own/drive the first thing I'll tell any of my help is this; "This isn't MMA. Always conduct yourself with class. ESPECIALLY in the face of adversity."

They cheer because they're sick and tired of having Lernerville favorite him. And that is worth a standing ovation!

I've sat in those stands at Lernerville and watched that track "blow him" for years. Just a couple years ago he got caught up with some lapped junk in a heat race. He wasn't ready for the feature yet so lo and behold....."Ladies and gentlemen, the management here at Lernerville have decided to have our fireworks show before the sprint feature". It was so blatant that they asked him if he appreciated the extra time in victory lane. And NO, there wasn't any weather in the area. Lernerville has done plenty to promote him.

Mr. signman, those are all excellent points and they're the truth as well. I guess what I am hoping for is just impossible. Humility and humbleness are lost in society and especially in the pits at local tracks. Don't get me wrong, there are drivers left that are humble and show humility but it's waning. People forget where they come from. They win a few races and all of a sudden they're the greatest thing on dirt. Blah blah blah. They forget their first few years. They forget all of their learning experiences. They talk down to the new guy like he's just in their way. There's a responsibility that comes with success but some of these guys just don't get it.

How this should read is, the guy shows up once in a blue moon and expects to circumvent the rules as if he runs the joint! It actually all started when they thought they didn't have to start 10th due to winning the feature the last time he ran one. He ran a heat race and scratched from the feature a few weeks ago and thus never started 10th after winning his feature. Then his crew walked onto the track en mass during yellow flag conditions after the Williamson issue and he was sent to the tail. Then the old man tried to go after Smokey, and let's not pretend this is the first time he has gone after a track official . . . challenger?! It's not "only at Lernerville" this isn't a Lernerville issue, it's a Lynch issue. A rule was violated and the management team enforced it. No the initial redraw was not their fault and yes the incident with Williamson was a random freak occurrence, (or was it karma?), but a crew plain and simply cannot walk onto the race track under caution to check out a race car for damage unless it's an open red flag. Ed could have pulled into the work zone to have his crew look over the car. And yes he probably would have been sent to the tail for doing so, but you can't have your cake and eat it too! Due to the unique circumstances, an exception could have been made for him to take his original starting spot despite the caution and wanting to have the car checked out, but no matter who you are, you can't take justice into your own hands, do things your own way and expect to be allowed to do so without repercussions. I don't think they were out of line for being frustrated by the string of events, but there are better ways to handle your frustration!

Well put and THANK YOU!!!!
