#425576 HummingBird late model special

I find it interesting why tracks don't support the teams that support them. This is a case in point. Why if all year, the steel blocks ran there and now you have a special that allows a class that didn't support your track all year. And to allow the faster cars to run with a class that is slower? I am not saying this is wrong maybe car count or some other reason warrants this but it doesn't seem fair to a class that supports you all year.
It's called a open late model special. This isn't something new there it's been this way for years. Hummingbird is the best track I have ever seen for equalizing steel block vs. aluminum block cars.

#424311 Gregg Satterlee and the WRG

Ya that's becoming pretty clear to me. I don't even know why I happened to even look at this forum. I won't even attempt to explain that not meeting the benchmark vs. cheating concept. lol
There are a number of things that can happen to cause a tire sample to not meet the benchmark for tire testing one of which is cheating. The rule is written to benchmark test only. So it doesn't matter if they soaked the tire or if it's a production issue with Hoosier it's a violation of the rule. That's why the World Racing Group the Parent company of Dirtcar, UMP the WOO won't say that they cheated only that the tire samples don't meet the benchmark. There is no way that WRG can determine if a person cheated or something else happened, that's why the rule is written the way it is. It meets the benchmark or it doesn't how it got that way doesn't matter.
That's the problem with tire testing, it's the only way to catch tire doping but you also get other cases that aren't but until they find a better way this is what everybody has to live with.
The thing I don't agree with is there isn't a way to prove the there may have been an issue with the production process. When the samples are taken they should also be cataloguing the serial number and batch numbers to see if there was a problem by testing a new tire from that batch to see if it meets the benchmark also. We've all seen problems with products especially ones done with mass production. You can't just set a benchmark for something and say this is it without having proof that the new ones also pass. I'm not saying they are innocent or guilty but if I was in their shoes I'd want proof especially if I knew I was innocent.
