Thunder Mountain runs a good show every week?? Where at?? Two weeks ago there were 32 cars in the pits and with the wrecks and wreckers it was an all night show too!!

Maybe some of you do not know this. Thunder Mountain Speedway's officials had nothing to do with the ULMS series on Friday night.
The ULMS has their own officals that take control of the late models from the time trials , to the heats , to the B-main (if their is one) and on to the feature. 
So , the problems you may have with how things were run please don't blame Thunder Mountain or the officals. Thunder Mountain runs a good show every week. 

I'm not picking on Thunder Mountain with this comment so please don't think that I'm here to bash. Many many tracks thru out the back woods of the U.S.A. have started doing this. The ambulance services charge a fair amount of money (from what I was told) to come to the track and many nights they just sit there and are not needed. This is all well and good but on those few nights when something serious happens they are worth their weight in gold. While most of not all fire depts have EMT's within their dept, that is not the same. If you are in a wreck on the highway and do anything more than breakout a headlight they have an ambulance respond. Why is that?? There must be a reason that the state mandates that. Look at most of the wrecks that happen on the track and they are no big deal. But on those few times a year that something "major" happens. Help is only 20 minutes away. This is an accepted practice at most of the small events but if you get to a bigger race or event they are always there with one if not two ambulances

Decent show. The surface was very good for the short time it was down. Lots of grooves with only a few bumps. No rolling or rutting. Only 37 cars for a mid-May race is kinda troubling. I hope the car counts get better. The wreckers are slow as they always are but two things really troubled me. Opening night and a ripped up American flag. Really guys!!! And the driver who got out and put out his own fire before the fire dept go to the scene. After we lost a racer just last month to a car on fire I think this really needs to be addressed. Good opening show overall

Had to wait till the price of coal went up.

Kudos to the track crew. Never seen a patch of coal like that at any other track. Track is almost run in to try it again.

Same as always. Lots of dust and wrecks. Fair car count till the racing starts then the cars drop off quickly. Great food and lots more seating tho. New announcer and flag man are a big plus.
