Modified Tour looking for Marketing Person

The Modified Tour is looking for someone that would be interested in joining our organization as a Marketing Person. This person would go out and secure new sponsorship for the organization and maintain the sponsors we already have in place. Erick Rudolph Crowned Modified Tour Champion at Annual Awards Banquet

 

 

Marble, PA......Saturday, November 12th the Modified Tour held their Annual Awards Banquet at the Knox Volunteer Fire Hall in Knox, PA and being crowned their champion was Erick Rudolph of Ransomville, NY.  The top 20 drivers that completed at least 75% of the events were handed point fund money.  Also, thirteen different drivers had perfect attendance throughout the series and were awarded an extra $200 cash.  Over $30,000 in cash and contingency prizes were distributed to the various drivers.

     During the 10 race series Erick Rudolph won two features at Sharon Speedway, one at Raceway 7, Expo Speedway and one at Tri City Raceway Park.  Rudolph also had 6 heat race wins to go along with the five feature wins.  Rudolph captured the point's title with a total of 488 points.  Rudolph picked up $4,000 for his Championship along with a jacket from Hoosier Tire, a certificate from Wrisco Aluminum for a sheet of aluminum and a $25 gift certificate from Big Daddy's Speed Center.  Also, Rudolph took home an extra $200 for having perfect attendance during the 2016 season in the Randy Chrysler owned mount.

     In second place was Rex King, Jr. with 448 points and one feature win at Mercer Raceway Park.  Third place went to Rex King, Sr. with 422 points and one feature win coming at Eriez Speedway.  Fourth place went to Brad Rapp with 416 points and rounding out the top five was Kevin Bolland with 400 points.  Sixth through tenth were Mark Flick, Dave Murdick, Eric Gabany, JR McGinley and Rick Regalski.

     Rounding out the top twenty were Mark Frankhouser, Jeremiah Shingledecker, Tom Glenn, Shawn Fleeger, Ricky Richner, Skip Moore, Rodney Beltz, Tommy Mattocks, Shannon Whaley and Shawn Kozar.

     Other feature winners during the series were Jim Rasey, Garrett Krummert and Mat Williamson.  There were 55 different drivers competed during the 10 race series.

     Randy Chronister was given the Life Time Achievement Award for his 51 years in racing and Tom Glenn was given the Debbie Oyler Memorial Award.  Debbie was a former board member that loved racing and always had a smile on her face and passed away several years ago.

     The Modified Tour will be starting their 19th year in 2017 and look forward to producing a great show for the race fans at the tracks that they compete at next year.  Several tracks are already on board for 2017 and the Modified Tour are still in negotiations with others and plan to release a schedule in the coming months.


Modified Tour Awards Banquet

Just a reminder that the Modified Tour Awards Banquet will be held this Saturday, November 12th at the Knox Vol. Fire Hall in Knox, PA at 6 pm.  Please bring a covered dish and as many people as you would like.  All drivers in the top 20 must attend the banquet or the Modified Tour will be forced to deduct 10% from your point fund check.  Also, you must be in attendance to win any other prizes that will be awarded during the evening.  Please text, call or Facebook Pam Baker at 814-229-3837 by tomorrow with the number you have attending.  Also please give her your name when texting or calling. 

 

This awards banquet is for our drivers, fans, owners, track promoters, and board members and we hope that everyone attends!

Flea Market and Swap Meet at Mercer Raceway Park

Due to all the rain that we have had the last two days and the conditions of the grounds at Mercer Raceway Park, the BRP Modified Tour Flea Market and Swap Meet for Saturday, October 22, 2016 has been cancelled!  We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.  This event will not be rescheduled for this year.


Modified Tour Race at Raceway 7

The time is here! The third race of the Modified Tour is coming up on Friday night at Raceway 7. The gates open at 5:30 pm with hot laps at 7:00 pm and races starting at 7:30 pm. The Modified Tour has competed at Raceway 7 three times and the winners of the three shows have been Todd Burley with one win and Dave Murdick picked up the other two wins. Come out for a great night of racing action and there will also be Fireworks!!!!
