That saddens me. Merle started out trying to keep the place open.

The track definitely had some character. The sprint feature was badass. Wheelies galore. Still better than an ice skating rink. Flinner doing flinner things. Didn't deserve to be DQ. Woulda been entertaining seeing him drive pissed off.
What's the difference between a Flinner driving pissed off and just their normal level of stupid with enough car to make up for it?
If I want a clown show, I'll go to a circus. Get the Flinners off the track. Yes, I know there's only 1 of them driving right now, but if there are ever any more to come, and they start to act like a Flinner boot em.

I think he's talking about how some drivers have learned to wait for the track to come to their setup, rather than set the car up for the end of the heat and be amazed that they fade half way through the feature, then have their fan club boo the guy who "got faster" at the end. Sounds like he's a Bowser fan, and thinks that AJ "suddenly" finding traction is by cheating, rather than patience.

The other thing about John was that he didn't care who he drove through, or injured. If he couldn't pass someone, he'd take them out. As long as John Johnson is writing the checks the Flinners will have more car than brains, and actual driving ability, and there's no way around that.

A couple years ago raising prices might have been okay, but this year there are people who are scraping to afford to drive to work. They aren't working any less, and still deserve some entertainment too. It's tougher for everyone now, except the people choking off our living.

My problem is not the lack of competition. The local guys are already dumping big money into this hobby. They'll race.
The problem is, where is all of this purse coming from. It's great to theorize about spending someone else's money, but in the end you're still talking about what you think someone else should do with their own money.
I absolutely wish tracks paid more, but it's up to them.

aghhh you and Jo, the 2 resident RUSH bashers on the stud. You have no idea what you are talking about, it was the track that wanted to have a complete RUSH show on Friday night as opposed to heats Friday and feature Saturday.
I'm not a huge fan of Rush either. The late models and sprints aren't too bad, but the sportsman and mods are worse than watching traffic. I have a real problem with the empire building too. When I was rabidly opposed to Rush was when they ruined the sportsman class at Lernerville, now they're just the racing version of mosquitos, only avoidable.
I still wouldn't pay a nickel to see a Rush only show.

Yeah well you don't see Si Lynch, Jr. doing that because he's an outlaw did you see his beard that thing is the pride of Apolla, PA maybe that's what A.J. #2 needs to do grow a beard and you would like him Si Lynch, Jr.'s beard has its own exhibit at the Apolla moon landing celebration Si Lynch, Jr. set fast time and his beard was two tenths behind him A.J. #2 tried to put a slide job on Si Lynch, Jr.'s beard but he couldn't clear it fans boo Si Lynch, Jr. but they cheer for his beard Si Lynch, Jr.'s beard signed autographs and drank beer with fans until Lernerville shut the lights off Si Lynch, Jr.'s beard is not afraid to put all four in the fluff I think Si Lynch, Jr. should start putting his feature win stickers on his beard.
And you don't see AJ running over guys because they got into the corner ahead of him. But better to take someone out, than to vent frustration on social media I suppose. Now, I'm overstating Sye's incident with Tim Shaffer to point out that Sye isn't some sort of infallible god of the wheel, either. And after spinning Shaffer, and given the chance to just apologize for the racing incident, (and it probably was just that), he acted like a Lynch.
