#453082 Viper Motorsports, Commitment Issues?

Posted by #TheTruth on 03 November 2022 - 09:26 PM

I think its the cocky and arrogant owner. He told Kyle Hardy they would run WOO full time a few years ago. They went to speedweeks, had a few top tens, then he booted him. Darryl Lanagan didnt last long either, as well as Jeremy Miller. Blair had close to 30 wins for Martin in a year and a half, who wouldnt be happy with that? At least he got the chance to run WOO a full season. From reading Martin's post's, it looks like hes a cocky, demanding, miserable person probably not fun to drive/work for. Just my opinion, I very well could be wrong.

That seems to be the general consensus, but it was a good opportunity for Blair and hell likely continue touring for the foreseeable future thanks to this past year. I guess English will put his year in and probably land with another team.

Lucas tour is far superior to WoOLMS in quantity and quality without question.

#447307 Blair Takes Out Sheppard for WOO Win

Posted by #TheTruth on 25 June 2020 - 09:47 PM

On the final lap of the opening night of the 14th annual Firecracker 100 at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, PA driver Max Blair piloting the 111 machine turned Brandon Sheppard in the final turn after being passed on the backstretch. Sheppard would end up finishing in the 22nd spot. I'm curious what your thoughts are on the situation considering Blair admitted to turning Sheppard in the final corner before leading the final two laps to his third WOO victory.

What are your thoughts?

#439044 Change My Mind: Max Blair Edition

lol, let's not  get to big of chest truth.......max was in the same corner......but norris surprised me.......that is a hard track to tackle.

I don't think I am at all. I think if any local could make it, it would be Norris. He would certainly do better than Flinner did. I think that saying Max was in the same corner as him is irrelevant. What is the point of making that statement? "Yeah he lost but not by a lot." Norris had never been there before and he bested the field.

I don't exactly care. Just don't understand where the following and recognition comes from. There are several local racers that are arguably better that actually go to big races that deserve more recognition than Max does. Don't believe he's been to Pittsburgh or Lernerville in years.

#432278 PPMS Drops The Ball... Again

Posted by #TheTruth on 25 July 2017 - 03:50 PM

I've come to the conclusion that #TheTruth will bitch and complain about anything and everything. PPMS will be closed at the end of the year and you will have to find something else to focus your misery on.

Everyone except for you agrees with my thoughts on Mollick, RUSH and that whole situation. Go talk to some drivers and see if their happy with the result. Because their not. I also only stated that I was disappointed so your bitching statement is invalid.

5. GPS and/or any other type of electronic tracking and/or locating device will not be permitted for any reason.

Straight out of the RUSH rule book under traction control devices. Whether it is traction control or just a GPS it is illegal.

Hey Vicki. Guess what. We won

This is a quote from the Stans Transmission Facebook page posted last night directed at Rush Director Vicki Emig. The 60m car, fielded by Stans Transmission did not pass pre-race inspection Friday night at Lernerville for the touring series event and as a result chose to load up and go home. I have heard many different reasons that they did not pass tech, most of which I believe, however anyone close to the car simply states that body dimensions were the problem. If you fielded a car in this race and your body dimensions were off wouldnt you fix it and race? Something doesnt seem right here.

Given the history that the team has on asphalt and recently on dirt I wouldnt be surprised if all the reasons I was provided that the car failed tech were true. Obviously its much more than a dimension issue. I couldnt make it out to PPMS last night because I was at the Lucas race (Congrats to Josh), but we all know how the tech is there. Given the circumstances Id say its safe to assume theyve been illegal all year. On a side note, a driver refused a tear down at Roaring Knob and was disqualified.

This brings me to my main point. Rush races need to be teched consistently and looked into much more than just the surface. People cheat, when they cant win and have the best of the best thats what they are going to do. But these people need to be caught regardless of their name or how much money they make and they need to be banned from the series. Crate late models are so diverse in price. Any given night I bet theres a $50,000+ crate out there and and some that cost $10,000 or less. By allowing people to cheat and get away with it your only hurting the latter part of that group that comes out and supports you week to week. Which is why so many have left and joined fastrak and currently it looks like the Rush Late Model Touring Series has 6 followers. If tech and racing were officiated properly this would not be the case (jumping starts, dirty driving, etc).

Hey Vicki. Stand up and take action.

Are you and other Rush officials going to stand there and allow a race team to taunt you? Are you going to allow them to continue to cheat and flaunt their money? They are a team of cocky, arrogant a**holes who clearly do not belong in this series. Take action and stand behind the weekend warriors who bring a legal car to race under your sanction to the track every week.

The weather looks great for the Freedom 50 tonight and will hopefully continue at Muskingum tomorrow evening. Congrats again to Josh Richards and the Best Performance Motorsports team and good luck tonight!

#428604 Lucas Oil Provisionals

Posted by #TheTruth on 21 February 2017 - 08:35 PM

A few locals with limited budgets compared to the big guys went down there and raced their ways into the show.... so it can be done.

#428601 Lucas Oil Provisionals

Posted by #TheTruth on 21 February 2017 - 08:13 PM

I'm not looking for provisional clarification. I'm aware of the rules. I'm concerned with the fact that each and every race better cars have to load up so that he gets to ride around. I was originally a Flinner fan last year meeting him in Florida and respecting what he is trying to do. I attended 10 events last year, most notably the Pittsburgher and race after race he became cocky and both he and his father spoke as if they were better than any local that they ever race with. In Florida they openly spoke with me. Throughout the year they spoke less and less and hanging around their trailer the attitude had changed and they talked down about other drivers. By the time the Pittsburgher rolled around they were "better" than any local talent and didn't even acknowledge my existence. But karma comes around and one of those lowly "locals" lapped the superstar in his heat race. The point is the Lucas Oil series turns good cars away every race so that Colton Flinner gets to race. If he were humble as he were in Florida like he was last year I probably wouldn't have a problem with the provisionals, but he is no better than any other driver that pulls on the track and as a result of the provisional system he thinks that he is better. Cars that qualify 20 spots ahead of him and finish 8 spots ahead of him in the B are forced to load up so that he gets to race.
