You are correct...life as we knew it a few weeks ago is over...I hope that the new norm is NOT video game racing...I for one will never buy into video game racing over the real thing...and it is not the same as real racing.

Hypothetical question: If there were to be held in Central Pennsylvania a $5000 to win SS race with a $16,000 total purse, which allowed both asphalt and dirt SS's to attend (rules of course, would have to be dealt with)...how well in everyone's opinion would this event be attended, and how far would teams tow to attend the event?

Legend is correct again...I don't care how much he wins, or if he's a "kid" it's his crappy attitude and lack of respect for other drivers...don't forget that he crashed Kenseth prior to that and also that Kenseth had been one of his only cheerleaders.

Bruton Smith Blvd...go to Concord Mills Mall, right down the road...visit Bass Pro Shops it's there, there is an aquarium at Concord Mills now also...also please take the time to visit the Sam Bass studio, basically right behind the big track...the big track also will be doing ride alongs....alll of the race shops will be open...go to see them whether you like asphalt or whether you don't...doesn't matter they are still awesome!
I LOVE Concord and that area, am hoping to move there within the next year or so, even if it's for the winter months only...I'm heading that direction actually over Thanksgiving...I've spent quite a bit of time down there so I know my way around fairly well.

I can almost guarantee you that the asphalt will never be ripped off that track.

Well that's two of us that heard the same story, and probably from two different sources...within the rumor I heard the configuration of the track was not going to change. The only way the track would make it as asphalt if you could get NASCAR trucks or something like that here, but that would take a ton of money to do.
I like the dustless oval idea.

Article concerning Gus Frear and Gerald Chamberlain...definitely not a hobby racer.
Known throughout the Northeast as the "Bedford Brain", Gus Frear became a household name as the crew chief, car builder, engine builder and head mechanic for Hall of Fame driver Gerald Chamberlain. The combination of Chamberlain and Frear won over 600 races from the late 50's to early 80's in various dirt racing divisions from New York to Virginia.

Oh man here we go I'm going to have to say I side with "The Legend" on this one...no matter how you grow up, or how many dope dealers you know...there is one thing I know for sure...everyone ((unless you have an IQ of about 10)) knows the difference between right and wrong...

Bad location? A few miles off of I80 and basically right on 322, I80 being a MAJOR east west artery and 322 going from Erie down into New Jersey. I don’t think location is the problem, unless of course you go one step further and declare the state is the wrong location. Airlift that place down south, and it might be a totally different story, although before you say it, I realize that there are tracks failing there also.
I believe that there are just so many other activities now other than racing vying for people’s time that motorsports as a whole could be getting left behind.
