In Topic: Sweeney RUSH Series announces pilot Pro Stock "Weekly" program for GM 602 & 604s

Vicki was on the right track the year she had Crate Stock cars but she should have allowed open motors. The tires were hard as a rock and lasted multiple nights but it made you work on your setup and good drivers had no issue making it work. Motors didn't matter when there was minimal traction and if there is anything that cost more money it's too much traction as once you get enough tire people start blowing money on HP and driving matters less!

The 602 has been marginally competitive on 8" tires and with most tracks now running 10" tires it's got even less value in a stock car. The 604 appears to be a good match to open motors at Lville but given you can't run a 604 at Sharon, Mercer, Raceway 7, or Eriez (I may be wrong) I'm not sure the incentive is there to switch to a 604 just to run for another 1k. You basically limit yourself to where you could run by picking a 604 or limit where you can finish with a 602! It's all moot anyway as Schneider was flying last year so he will be hard to beat if he keeps it up!
