Eriez is definitely one of the best tracks in West pa, and you can most definitely run the high side in turn 2 most nights. Not saying they are perfect every night, but has come a very long way from the old 1 lane days!

Eriez does great on Sunday night. Of course they have been running that night for quite a long time, and benefit by being one of the only to race. They are well established track with a great following and surface. Not a lot of cars down that way come up because of the distance which could benefit a track that does down that way.

#407503 Killing the supporting classes

Most ss rules are the same. I ran AMP,dog.hollow, Marion center, race way 7, eriez, and Mercer. Only thing I changed was the carb! Its not that they are different it's that it cost too Damn much for what they pay. IMO put them on a hard 8 inch tire with a 2bbl carb/shock claim rule with a 602 weight break option and put it back into talent and setup and not just who has the biggest motor with the softest big tire.

I was there and watched the entire race, the track was a little bit rough esp. coming out of 2. It was a pretty good race and it was the same exact finish as the week before with 2 guys doing what they thought they had to win. Yes he drifted up some but I believe it was just to cut him off for the win not to take him out. They had the same thing the week before btwn blair and volpe. It sucks for those drivers but I think it was just a racing deal with 2 guys going for it. I cant blame either one trying to win esp for 3k!

yes used tires are $30 but I will pretty much most of the front running cars have new tires on! Its not so much the cost as it is the bigger tires allo the bigger motors to work better. Big difference try to hook up a 8" hard tire and a 2 bbl compared to an open late model tire with an open 4 bbl. Look at stateline for example they had 2 ss features a night about 5 yrs ago. Every said be like everyone else and go to late model tires and they did, they are down to about 12 cars weekly! I understand they are down everywhere bt it is getting way out of control.

IMO the worst thing they did for this class was to put them on the big LM tires. Every track ss count is way down

I don't think there is anything wrong with the layout. I raced there quite a few times and never had a problem passing cars. Yes it does require patientce sometimes but it can be done. Some ppl will hit u there or on a track as wide as pms! Just the way some ppl drive. The ulms race there last yr proved that passing can be done.
