Marion Center is opening at last but on the wrong night, Mercer is running the wrong classes, Sharon brings one of the top dirt sanctions in the country and does a great job getting the program in and everyone home early on a week night but they still suck. You people kill me.   

I guess the 25 car is beatable.

Very aggressive payout and schedule with several $3,000 to win Late Model races. Specials for Sprints and Big Blocks as well. I look to make a few trips that direction this season.

There are a hundred reasons to be concerned about local dirt track racing. The crowds at Lernerville isn't one of them.

Ok, so they really cancelled because it rained, like dozens of other tracks across the country were forced to do this weekend. That's not all that surprising. What is surprising is someone with your vast knowledge of racing, business, and generally uplifting disposition hasn't been snapped up and  put in charge of one of the major touring series or premier facilities across this great country. What a waste of talent. Does Tony Stewart know you're available?

I guess my request for "no bashing" fell on deaf ears. Nevermind, I'll figure it out by myself.

I've been hard on Mercer in the past, but that was a good night of racing. Track was very good, still need to work on starting on time. Light fields in support classes early in the year are not a surprise. I do think the stocks will be hesitant to support Mercer much this season.

They are both great events. Sawdust is right about all the stuff to do in Charlotte. Of course the Daytona build up is going on all through Speedweeks. There is something about getting out of here and into the sun in February that's kind of nice too. 

Just not anything to get very excited about.

There will be racecars for mall shows and track openings. I believe the reason people are not posting their pictures here has a lot more to do with this site than local racing or racers. Almost every topic turns into bashing in three posts or less. Who wants to read that day after day? No one.There was a time when I was on here almost daily. I doubt if it's more than once or twice a month now. Keep complaining about tracks, drivers, crates, rules and purses and there will soon only be a couple of you left.

The best way to improve your program is to race against the best. I applaud them for making the attempt.

This is a very interesting topic. But I have to agree that you have to preserve what numerous teams and families help build. Its a shame that certain teams along with management were allowed to destroy what was one of the exciting classes at the 'ville.  But why dont you all get together and start something like the UFO series and race at area tracks maybe once or twice a month with the old rules? Something to think about. If you really believe in this class do something to save it. There is power in numbers!

So anyone that predicts a team in MLB or the NFL to finish last in their division is guilty as well. They should only predict the winners? This is not PeeWee football. Not everyone gets a trophy for participation.  These guys are big boys. If their feelings are hurt, they will get over it. You are entitled to your opinion, so am I.
