I agree 100% Race, if this speedway is to come back to its glory days, it will be after the pavement is gone and clay covers that 1/2 mile track..

Its a dirty shame that this guy has put all the money and time into this and it just isnt happening. I really think he needs to sell to a rich investor that wants to turn it into a 5/8 clay oval, like back in its glory days, you would get cars and a good crowd if that happened..

The track surface was one of the best I've seen, we sat down front in the firts set of bleachers and had no dust on us when we left. I enjoyed the vintage mods racing too. I think they might have something with running Sunday nights..

I have this one of Marv Hockenberry with the lovely Marsha, anyone remember her?Yes there was a rail on the inside the sprint guys didn't like it . Al Hallminton was involved in the build of the track. It was sold to Barletta & Edmanson before Ferd Wallace bought it. THOSE WERE THE GOOD OLD DAYS.
I like your pix bob hope you have more?
Do you have any of the semi lates of Hocenberry-Stine -Shobert ?
