They have started on time every race this year.  As for the dust, look at the videos from other tracks, they are all dusty.  What employees are on this site?

All the races this year?  Both those races doesn't do much for the years of watching Frank point at spots on the track for hours on end while they pack it in way way to tight.  Yes, most tracks are dusty these days...but that doesn't compare to Mercer dust.  If you don't know what employees are on here and make fools of themselves it isn't worth explaining it to you.  Obviously you don't pay attention.  There is a reason attendance there is awful, why do you think that might be?

Lack of track prep and management.  Can't start late every week when you do race, have it as dusty as it is.  Then expect people to show up when there is a chance of rain.  Nobody to blame but themselves.  Let's not forget the employees that make fools of themselves on here and social media as well.

Why wouldn't you run a support division feature first??? Those guys come every week and put on a show- for pretty much nothing. How bout supporting the backbone of local racing- the weekly guys. Plus it's supposed to be a build up to the special event. I will admit the cautions kill me every time I'm there!

Because you are holding the people hostage that came to see the real show...but honestly, if this needs explained there was no real reason to even attempt to explain it to you.

#398318 DOG HOLLOW PRICING FOR THUNDER DOG 50

The tracks that fall under the "not eldora" category feel a need to charge sky high pit fees because the pits are the only guaranteed money at these late season higher purse shows. If it's 40 degrees and there's football on, the front gate just isn't gonna be there. Go to little guys, or even the chiller thriller at the beginning of the year. Pits packed and great shows but each person could have their own row in the stands.

The front gate would absolutely be there if there was a better than 50/50 shot of being a decently run show.  These back gate tracks just have no draw to outsiders for a "big" end of the year show.  Who is gonna travel a few hours to check out a race at Dog Hollow?

Kind of strange to hear talk kindly of the previous owner now....at the time, the conversation was much different.  Place is always a circus, much like all the tracks up that way...it's rarely ever about the racing.

I think about 75% of the posts in this topic are exactly what was discussed in the article from the looks of things...there is a reason none of the tracks up that way stay open.  Stay classy Clearfield County.

Just throwing this out there, both Shusters with their Don Otts and Sesco with his several years of experience, got beat by a rookie with a 305 under the hood. I also heard that after the race one of the guys with an Ott was bitching about the 305 being out there even though the 305 dusted him. A little car control goes a long way boys.

Think a 305 out there is about the last thing that group needs to complaining about....he beat 1/3 of the field.
