Does what your saying about the WRG mean except for a few races there isn't any track getting a WRG date unless the WRG controls the gate and feels they will profit from the front gate.

 

No. It's a setup that's exclusive to Lernerville. Other exceptions to the norm happen at Charlotte, Volusia and Oswego. 

 

For the overwhelming majority of WRG sanctioned races, a track pays them a sanctioning fee and is on the hook for the entire purse for the the race. It's how the racing business has been done for decades.

I look at it this way. If Mark Richards can't get Clint Boyer's team turned around with Josh in the driver's seat then there is no hope. Clint is a smart man and Knows by having Josh in one of his cars will most likely give him the information to what he has been looking for to win races. If they don't have success with XR ones then there is really no hope.

Not just that, but Richards is maybe the most consistent driver in the nation. CBR is anything but. If Richards cant get them at least consistent, either wholesale changes in personnel need to take place or Clint needs to shut it down.

DS, modern late model setups are all about sealing the nose off and getting the spoiler as high in the air as possible. The setups themselves are far from ideal, but the grip created by all that downforce compensates.

So the Pooch has postponed until November 16/17 and have added supers back to the program.

What happened to the late models? Guess we will find another track to go to. Which Ohio tracks will be racing this weekend?

The ONLY reason for the story you told Wald is that's what people drove back then.  Today people drive FWD's, ain't no reason they can't be made to keep up with a winged sprint.  Get FWD's steppin out in the fast category and today's 'people' will pay their nickle to come through the front gate to watch.  FWD's are no step child, there about today and should be made into something special on a dirt oval the same as there made for the public/people something special driftin and other forms of motoring.
 
Weather you accept it or not Walt, everywhere else but where already mentioned emods are in fact modified's because that's what people choose to call them..
 
edit:  Ain't no reason instead of "the" big 3 it can't be "the" big 4.  Sprints, Late's, big blocks and FWD's.  Tube frame, engine up front with FWD, maybe make them look like a small SUV or something else to get some aero into them and let the mechanic/racers have at it.  Then when they get too fast reel them in a little with some stupid rules the same as was done to sprints.  Till then they should be no minimum weight and open max 6 cylinder engines so long as there FWD.  Why shouldn't there be open fuel, turbo and nitrous stuff on dirt ovals?  Keep livin in the past and dirt oval race tracks will be a thing of the past.   Wouldn't it be cool sittin in the stands at Lernerville when a FWD hit the nos bottle down the front stretch?
