I agree that a track can't afford to raise the payout if they aren't getting a decent car count. If a track finds that they are getting a good count on a weekly basis then the wise thing for them to do is thank their drivers with a increase for that class. This is what Thunder Mountain did last year, they were getting a good car count and thanked the drivers with an increased payout. That was done before Mike Blose was going there, if i remember correctly one week they had like 35 cars and the following was close that. Some of the local tracks have been trying hard to make happier fans and drivers, but I see them get cut up on here all the time on here instead of getting any praise for doing something right.

I will give all three chassis builders credit they all have cars out there that are fast, they also have a few that aren't quite up there. This goes with the theory that a car will not go out and make itself fast the driver has to have ability and someone has to be willing to spend hours on end every week working on the car looking for ways to make it faster and stay together. As far as a builder or setup guy running in the grey area of the rules, this would only be smart all major builders do what it takes to get an edge and if it doesn't say its NOT legal then it IS legal. So my best suggestion would be instead of crying about how fast the guys that do put the effort forward are work on making yours faster.

I think the phantom yellows are a joke. Larson most likely had that race but nascar was hoping to make a race between the top two chase contenders. The chase system is a joke all around. Either race for points all year like racing was meant to, or if you're going to copy other sports and have a playoff then do it right and when you're eliminated you don't play next week.
