I don't have a dog in the fight, but my eyesight works fantastic. The leader was low, lap car ahead and above him. Smeal dove through the infield (dust like that didn't get kicked up off the track by anyone else). It was certainly a ballsy move, and in my opinion dirty, but it got him the win. So be it. I just hate to see guys run consistently like that. He's got quite the reputation for it over the years. A lot of wins but no friends. I'd rather earn half those wins and keep the respect of the drivers and fans. What do I know though. If I was in a car I might plow through everyone haha.

truth be told where we were sitting it looked more like gearhart came down on smeal cause he knew he left the door wide open.as i stated earlier he didn't hit a barrel or use the infield as i said earlier if it wasn't for lap cars gearhart would of won smeal admitted that.and that's the way about 30 other fans around us saw it.

In SS the 44 flat out ran over the 3 car through the final corner9. Lapped cars got in the way but he used the infield and the age old 8 tires are better than four deal to pass. Pretty low class move. Those two had the field covered but Smeal would never have gotten by with out running over the 3.

i have absolutely no idea what race you all were watching the lap cars did play a roll in the outcome but gearhart stayed up in the middle of 3-4 left the bottom open dan put his nose in there at no point did he hit a barrel or use the infield. bump yes there was contact but the lap cars were running where gearhart was thus giving dan the win.i was sitting right on top of all the action in the middle of 3-4 on the hillside.he also said in his interview if it wasn't for the lapped cars gearhart would of won and he hated winning like that.any driver would of made the same move it's called racing and bumping is racing just ask doug tibbens on opening night when the 11 car knocked him out of the way in turns 1-2 thus giving the win to the 96 car by the way doug led 18 laps before that happened
