so is it your brothers fault..our teams fault..or whoever else that didn't complain, just tried to keep up by whatever means possible?..that now we..the people who have supported that shithole should have to face a penalty or even sell off our hard earned equipment for less than half what we have in it to give "the other guys" who dream of moving up,or the guys who race Lernerville a chance?

the issue is the management who let it go on,let it get out of hand and now are paying the penalty by less teams, cars and fans..they sure got fat and happy off their decisions, its us that are skipping meals to try to compete.

the whole deal makes me sick to my stomach...lol..geez!

Again i ask what was wrong with a cubic inch limit? Why do you need a 421 or a 430 in a (street stock , pro stock. sportsman, E-mod for that matter )   Racers are their worst enemies " give us big tires , give us big engines "  Then "this is super expensive"      That's why there is a late model division.  JMO

#418479 World of Wheels car show

Posted by IMPERIALTIRE11 on 22 January 2016 - 11:25 AM

The car show is 17$ to get in if you want to go pay it, if you don't want to pay it don't go, pretty simple. It is something to do involving cars in January. Just like people complaining on here about the races, who is gonna be there, cost to much to get in, hamburgers cost to much, it's dusty, its wet.  If you like it go enjoy the event with some friends and make the best of it.

#411417 Chevy screws truck owners

Rusted out brake lines on Chevy trucks is such a problem that GM makes kits to replace all of the lines with a new coating on them.  Other vehicles have rust problems also just the Chevys seem to be the worst. I think a lot has to do with the liquid they put on the roads to melt the salt, things have been getting worse since they started using that.

#408990 Daytona victory lane interview

Posted by IMPERIALTIRE11 on 06 July 2015 - 10:25 AM

The NBC reporter should have backed off of his questioning of Dale Jr. in victory lane , you could tell he was clearly shaken and did not want to talk. The reporter to keep asking him what the final laps were like and what happened on such and such a lap was ridiculous.  The other thing is start the races at 12-1 o'clock like they use to , give the fans a chance to leave the track and make it home to work on Monday. No wonder nobody goes to them anymore.  I want to go to a race I don't need a concert or movie star or Rutledge doing an interview to drag things out., run the dam race

Listen this guy, nickname is Cleetus, takes his hard earned money and helps 2 or 3 racers at the track. If he didn't maybe they couldn't race to put on a show for you people. So he comes up with a name Cleetus Motorsports to put on the cars and you guys knock him for helping. A racer welcomes any kind of help they can get. And do you know how many  $50 "write offs" you need for your taxes for it to even make a diff?   Need to be more people supporting the drivers and the tracks instead of bitching , whining, and putting people down that try to help

Old man D , if is a race you don't want to miss what does it matter how much it costs to get in?

Everyone on this message board is always asking what its costs to get in  Do you like racing?  If that is a yes bring enough money (maybe a couple bucks extra) and pay to get in and enjoy!  It is probably the best "RACE" of the year where the cars actually "RACE" and not just ride around in a line real fast.

Idk Vince but every division I raced in the past had 20 or 30 cars and side by side racing all through the field. When was the last time someone used the brake pedal to set up a pass instead of just a slide job hope it works or just use another car to get through the corner.      And people are not into it because they took the individuality out of the sport, we use to put a cam, gear, set up in the car for how I liked to drive it not how GM thinks it should be or this is the shocks and the set up everyone is running.  Vince drive a crate engine and you will know what I am talking about and I had a 602 and a 604, hold it to the floor till your leg gets tired you can't lift or your done.

Lets see, how many times have I been through the "we are doing this to save the racers money" Well I had a spec motor (home built) and won, okay u need and "economy" engine, even though I had to basically scrap the spec. Built an economy engine  (home built and won). Both costing less to build and made more power than a crate engine, what was wrong with those engines other than they required a tech inspector to do his job. So with all that money spent they want you to buy this junk crate engine that for what it costs I could build a legal engine and make more HP for the same if not less. This sport has evolved from people that could build things ,engine one of the most expensive items of the car and( if tech is done right could compete with the bought engine), to basically forcing those people out of the sport for having to buy a piece of junk that you can't fix yourself. Most automotive repair shops or gas stations use to have a race car, why? because that's what the people who worked there did, fixed or built them. Not had a big pile of cash to buy.   I have been hearing talk of crate engine in the Stock/ Sportsman class, what do you think that is going to do to the car counts?  Also make the track smooth and slick, then you have to drive not hold the gas pedal down and hang on. I would rather watch cars going 80 mph and race side by side than watch "Hot laps" at 110mph.

#395688 Tony Stewart in trouble

Posted by IMPERIALTIRE11 on 11 August 2014 - 04:23 PM

Did everybody see the video? Did you see the man cock his legs to jump out of the way? Did you hear Stewart gas the car right before he got hit ? Did you see the little juke that Stewarts car made before the hit.

Watch the video again, and again, and again. You will see. Man that sure looked intentional. Just my opinion.

What would Tony be mad about????? He didnt get wrecked, his car wasnt damaged. No reason for him to be pissed off at anyone. Even if he was mad ,as a driver in all the years i have been at the tracks and racing no one has ever swerved at a driver or official on the track. U JUST DONT DO IT.

I would agree. Typically the crate racing is the best of the night. Plus 100 lappers are part racing part strategy. Gotta keep your car together to be there at the end. As Paul said the fuel stop will help cool the motors. I know if the track is wide open and hammer down the motors will be getting worked out.

when we built our own engines they never overheated.
