Posted by RACERSPASTOR on 18 June 2018 - 09:06 PM

I want to thank Mark,Chad and Amy for the effort and improvement at the track the addition of the new clay improved the racing very much as evidenced by the quality of the races last night

The racing in each class was very good and the wingless Sprints were worth the price of admission, the 410 Sprints put on a good show as well and the Rush crates should have filled everyone night.

I will look forward to the next show and would like to see the stands full and with the quality of last night show it is very possible.

Again many thanks to all involved and I was on my way home shortly after 10:15.

#427187 Mercer 2017 schedule questions

Posted by RACERSPASTOR on 21 November 2016 - 08:23 PM

Having been associated with Mercer since the 50s in many different way and in particular the last 25 + years I find myself wondering a great deal about the 2017 schedule ? the way it appears they will be running again but for myself and many others that make many long term plans and decisions the current information is not only vague but confusing as well. My love for Mercer is very deep and the future is important to many racing fans and competitors it for this reason I am asking for a little more solid information.

Mercer has a very rich history especially in Sprint cars and Modifieds I am praying they will be deeply considered in all future plans , I have very little money invested but if I total my time of service and I hope the loyalty I have shown at my familys expense there is not any way to put a $$ sign on it.

I wish Mr Altman only success in his venture and trust we will never be without a Mercer Raceway Park.

Posted by RACERSPASTOR on 27 September 2016 - 07:37 PM

i read with great intrest a lot of the opinions put forth on this page and this once i will add one of my own, when there is any incident on the track there are many thoughts expressed so in regards to the Sides/ Seger pass it had a ngative result for Sides but a positive result for Seger, now about the Sye lynch incident was it better that Sye was out of the race I think not please remember we are only watching from a distance and drawing our own conclusions.

Sprint Car racing is a matter of inches and mini seconds of decision and yes thing will happen but I seriously doubt any driver would intentionaly cause a crash.

I give Jimmy Seger a lot of respect for even sitting in a Sprint Car again after his horrible crash a few years back at The Grove and it was not his fault but he was thought to be Dead until his Dad found a little life and then he had years of recovery and has been winning  in the 305s and is mercer Raceway Park season champ.

I spend many hours with these drivers and their familys in both the good times as well as the bad and dont second guess their driving I just respect each one for what they do for us.

I think I may have the solution to this issue everyone that is dissatisfied with the decisions being mad should all form a co-op and purchase a track any track and then they could make all the decisions.

#422036 LERNERVILLE VIDEO

Posted by RACERSPASTOR on 25 May 2016 - 05:23 PM

I am in awe of the film the Tomson family is featured in about Lernerville I only pray other owners will begin to demonstrate the passion and energy this family has and continues to put forth to preserve this track. I knew the first time I met them that they were real men and devoted to the family tradition that makes racing so special.

I only pray others will take a more positive position and not allow our tracks be closed and possibly never open again and the possibility in our region is in a very precarious position .

Please go too the lernerville web page and watch this profound short video it will bless you as it did me and make me even more proud to be a part of the Lernerville Family.

Praying for their success

I am not an expert in track managment but have spent a life time around tracks and I am concerned that what you have just heard may be the trend ,many are blaming car counts and fans not being there and that has some truth but until the entire industry takes a better look at the real reasons we only see more decline in tracks.

This is only my opinion but as we continue to divide the cars with more classes that only have very few differences the decline will continue the fans I have talked with all feel there are way to many classes now and we only continue to either create more or divide the present ones.

I have and will always have a passion for local tracks and pray for their success but sometimes we become our own worst enemy.

I wonder what would happen if our owners would do the Undercover Boss test and jus sit in the grand stands and listen to the folks paying to watch the races that are being promoted it may well be an eye opener for them, like it or not they are your coustomers and without them you will be faced with some hard decisions ,and it may be sooner than is expected.

Just my opinion

#417600 MERRY CHRISTMAS

Posted by RACERSPASTOR on 24 December 2015 - 02:16 PM

i WANT TO TAKE A LITTLE TIME  TODAY TO WISH EACH OF MY RACING FAMILY A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS SEASON AND PRAY FOR IT TO CONTINUE THROUGH OUT YOUR ENTIRE LIFE I AM SO GREATFUL FOR THE INTESTINAL FORTITUDE (GUTS) THAT MY RACING FAMILY EXHIBITS ,THEY ARE FACED WITH MANY HIGH SPOTS IN THEIR LIFE BUT AT THE SAME TIME CAN BE PLUNGED INTO THE MOST GUT WRENCHING SITUAATION. BUT WHAT MAKES THEM SPECIAL IS THEIR ABILITY TO WORK TO COME BACK FROM THAT ADVERISTY AND ONCE AGAIN COMPETE WITH A BOLDNESS THAT MAKES THE WORLD WONDER HOW AND WHY THEY CAN AND WOULD DO THIS.

I SEE THAT SAME THING WITH SOLD OUT TO JESUS CHRISTIANS EACH DAY AND THEN WATCH THE HAND OF GOD DO THE IMPOSSIBLE WITH THE INPROBABLE AND ALL BECAUSE THEY ARE SOLD OUT TO WHAT THEY LOVE.

if YOU ARE ON THE EDGE IF DECISION  PLEASE MAKE THE RIGHT ONE AND SELECT JESUS FIRST AND ALL THE REST WILL FOLLOW.

MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL
