The final race of the Modified Tour 2015 racing series will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Sharon Speedway. This race will be the Russ King Memorial race which will feature $2000 to win for the event. It will also be the final point night of the season.

Modified Tour Inc. will be hosting their 9th Annual High Performance Swap Meet and New and Used Racer's Flea Market will be held at Mercer Raceway Park on Saturday, October 17, 2015.

Gates will open for vendors at 7 AM. Gates for the public will open at 9 AM till 3 PM. The cost for a vendor will be $20 per spot which will include 2 Free general admission tickets. General mission cost will be $3.00.

Any type of racing parts new and used, trucks, race trailers, go kart parts, motorcycles, truck pulling, drag stuff, racing collectibles and apparel can be found at the Flea Market.

We are offering this great rate at a centrally located facility with unlimited space. We hope to make it the best swap meet of its kind and bigger and better every year.

The race that was on the Modified Tour 2015 Schedule has been CANCELLED!!!!!! We had our agreement with the former management team and they are no longer around. We are working with the new owners to see about racing there in the 2016 season. We are racing on Saturday, September 12th at Sharon Speedway for the Russ King Memorial Race which will pay $2,000 to win! Hope to see you there!

BRP Modified Tour Releases Their 2015 Racing Schedule!

Marble, PA…..The BRP Modified Tour has released their 2015 schedule of events with some big news coming from the organization as they will for the first time in the history of the Modified Tour be hosting two $5,000 to win events. 

 

            The first of the $5,000 to win shows will take place at the reopening of the new Tri City Raceway Park in Franklin, PA on Sunday, May 17^th.  The historic facility has been closed for several years and will reopen under the ownership of Mark Taliveck and direction of Chad Wagner and Mark’s son, Sam on that Sunday afternoon.  The Modified Tour is pleased to be a part of the opening day activities and with the $5,000 to win purse that offers $250 to take the green we are hoping for a large car count for that event. 

 

            The next show on the schedule will take place on Friday, June 26^th at Raceway 7 in Conneaut, OH.  The Modified Tour raced at the speedway last year and put on a fantastic show for the fans and were invited back for a second year in a row. 

 

            The month of July will be a busy on for the Modified Tour starting off on July 2^nd at Tyler County Speedway in Middlebourne, WV.  The “Bullring” will feature the second 40-lap, $5,000 to win event of the summer.  Then on Sunday, July 5^th the Modified Tour will invade Eriez Speedway for the second show of the month.  Sharon Speedway in Hartford, OH will be the next stop of the Modified Tour group on Sunday, July 11^th for the running of the Lou Blaney Memorial Race which will pay $2,000 to win.  The Modified Tour will then appear at the Expo Speedway at the Trumball County Fairgrounds on Thursday, July 16^th finishing out the month of July’s events.

 

            Mercer Raceway Park, Mercer, PA will find the seventh event of the Modified Tour series on Saturday, August 15^th.  This will be a shootout between the Big Block Modifieds of the Modified Tour and the Small Blocks that run at Mercer on weekly basis. 

 

            Rounding out the series schedule will be two events in the month of September with Stateline Speedway coming back to the Modified Tour schedule after several years’ absence.   Owner, Bill Cantania has offered the Tour a chance to get reacquainted with the Busti, NY oval on Friday night September 11^th.  The following day, Saturday, September 12^th the Modified Tour will return to Sharon Speedway for the running of the Russ King Memorial Event. 

 

            The Modified Tour will continue their program of Perfect Attendance award of cash to the drivers at their annual banquet which will be held after the season is over along with the Point Fund distributed to the top 20 drivers that have completed in at least 75% of the races.  The Modified Tour has had drivers compete from the states of Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York and Canada and would like to add to that list this year.  If anyone has technical questions for the Modified Tour they can find them answered by calling Tim Engles at 814-673-2878. 

The BRP Indoor/Outdoor Flea Market that was to be held on Saturday, January 31st at the Rocky Grove Fire Hall in Franklin, PA has been CANCELLED do to lack of interest.  We only had 9 tables sold and this is not enough to put on a good show.  So if you have paid for your spots, please expect a check in the mail before the end of the week!
