Let's just hope that the father is on the outside of the son for this race. If it's the other way around they might not make it out of turn 1.

In Topic: Does anybody know when the Aug. 2nd Late Model Race was taken off the schedule

Oakshade is the trump card to most tracks and the word "normal". As far as our car counts there have been an few times that we were over 50 in the lm's and a few times that we were under 30. The sportsman and bombers are consistant though. One forgotten class is our newest one, the hornets. It's a beginners class for 12 to 18 year olds with no racing experience. The class has grown from 2 cars to darn near 20 in one season. Folks come to Oakshade for 1 reason and one reason only...they know what they are going to get for their $$'s. $20 for the pits and $12 at the gate no matter who or what is racing or how much the purse is increased. We also have the extra added attention to the younger ones during intermission that keeps the night rolling on during down time. As far as the "friends and families" in the stands go...correct. Lots of them also...tells ya something. I wish Dean nothing but good will in getting Waynesfield back on track or to the level it should be at. LM's should have been a no brainer for Sunday dates. The drivers liked the place and the fans that went had nothing bad to say about it. I think perhaps all the eggs were being put into one basket on the SN deal maybe. I am sure they were counting on a lot of Oakshade fans to make the trip south for that date but there are usually a few hundred fans in the campgrounds that night for the track party. More than once throughout the day I heard the phrase "It's like it's the World 100 around here.". even more the day of the race. Maybe that's what's missing...the magic. You know what I'm talking about...the goose bumps that pop up at the mere mention of a particular race. That's what you need!! Bottom line, it doesn't matter how nice your facility is it's what you do with it that keeps folks coming back week after week.
