In Topic: Mini Sprints

24 December 2011 - 10:51 PM

I just traded for a Mini Sprint.

This is all new to me.

Is there anyone out there, near Lima, who would be willing to let me come check out there Mini Sprint, and/or come check out mine and point me in the right direction?

I do have racing experience, but nothing in the sprint car/dirt area.

Thanks for any help.

What type of car did you get? engine?

We won 4 of the 5 races when we were at Waynesfield this year, feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions.

Raise mini sprints to $500 to win for weekly races and 20 lap features and you will have ~30 cars a week.

Didn't mean to stir up this much drama, just with a 2 1/2 hour drive would like to make the trip worth it. I think you'll be seeing full fields for pretty much the rest of the year... props to waving the AMSA guest fee as well.

Yes i would have to say a big yes look at the number of sprintcar drivers that have come out of this class.

The new ones Beau Stewart, Mad Max,--- Jared Horstman, Jared Delong, Hud Horton, Tim Allison Jeff Williams Tom Rhoades Tim Viles. ( sorry if i spelled any ones name wrong)

Some one help me out i know there are a lot more. Even in other divisions.

Frankie Luchini in mods.

"The Buzzard Doug Adkins," Matt Westfall (although I think he ran micros,) Tracy Hoover, and many, many others came out of the Southern Ohio mini sprints during the 1990's. Coleman Gulick, Brett Berdette, and Shane Cottle came out of the AMSA. It's a great class for up and comers or a fan trying to get into serious racing without a sprint car budget. I felt like the last couple races I ran at Waynesfield last season were often the best races of the night, with cars winning from 6th on back, hard charges from the back, and a 3 car battle for the win at the last AMSA race.
