#454278 Lernerville Stampede Finale Results Today/Tonight: 10-15-23

Posted by Vigoda Motorsports on 17 October 2023 - 02:11 PM

Plenty of race tracks available to buy or lease to test your theory. Your theory sounds easy and practical enough, but you have to admit they are exponentially more successful in what they do than most. I just hope they appreciate what they have in Dan Bauman. What than man does to provide an exceptional racing surface is extremely rare.

No, hes right. There was low attendance for this event last year too with much better weather. This is my yearly
take that this is a nothing happening event that could be so much
better if they eliminated some classes that no one wants to see and raised the purses in the classes that people that do, namely the big 3, maybe also the Rush lates. Drawing a better quality of car in every division will draw more people. As it is, youre expecting people to make a big deal over regular show fields with 4 or 5 backgate classes.

Super Lates, Sprints, Modifieds, Rush Lates 10,000 to win.
Street Stocks 5,000 to win.

#451594 $50,000 payout idea

I need to find something besides this post to occupy my time. So does the OP.

The last several years here have shown that the OP has absolutely nothing else to occupy his time.

There is not Super Dirt Car Series races at Port Royal, that is the series WRG owns. Short Track super series has no affiliation with WRG.

Think of it this way, if Florence gives the North/South the WoO and then tell Lucas they can have another date paying the standard purse. I doubt Lucas says sure we will come back for a one day show In May for the series minimum purse. The Firecracker, USA Nationals, and PDC where the 3 highest paying WoO Late Model shows all year.

I completely get what youre saying, but maybe WoO should look at it as a realization that they need to get their Late Model house in order instead of acting shocked and making such a petty move.

Everyone who follows the sport knows theyve catered to one team for so long that their series now pales in comparison to the Lucas series. If theyre suprised by this fact then theres not much more you can say.

The ULMS has a hell of a following. (sarcasm)

#451127 Pittsburgher admission prices

As always a legit thread turns into a DS2 hijack rambling on about dumb s*hit. I'm sure nobody really cares that Raceway 7 ordered curly fries just for you. Make sure you take your meds before you post this nonsense on here you idiot.

I agree.

#450999 PPMS Results: 9-18-21

Yes agreed on the entrance road. Sad thing is most of the issues there could be fixed with a little time and effort. I don't know if you are a subscriber for MavTv Plus, but for context, it would cost me $75 to go in the pits at the Pittsburgher on Saturday or I could pay 100 and get a whole year of MavTv. I know being there is better and what not but there prices are out of whack with reality.

For you to be saying this, a well respected member of this community for many many years and a loyal patron to PPMS, should speak volumes to Matt Miley, who I know for a fact reads this board. Unfortunately it wont. Id speak again about how wonderful that place was in the early 90s and has drastically fallen apart in virtually every aspect, but everybody knows that, its a beyond dead horse at this point and just falls on deaf ears.

#450744 Thunder Mtn Friday no longer ULMS

The keystone cup is October 22nd and 23rd.

It seems dirtondirt.com is very misinformed on their schedule. Shows the 21,000 to win show on 9/24-25. Thats something Bedford might want to fix.

Interesting comment from Colton in victory lane about his Uncle John. Even after having been away from racing for years, John Flinner manages to remind everyone that hes a POS.

#450038 Firecracker Night #1 at Lernerville: 6-24-21

Cant say I love how the track is prepped. Dry, dusty and slow at the start of the heats.

#449203 WoO Late Models Night #2 Illini 100 at Farmer City Raceway: 4-3-21

Are they still playing 80s hair bands before the start of the heat races for unknown reasons? Nothing like having to strain to listen to the lineup over Dirtvision blasting Kickstart My Heart by Motley Crue.

#448453 Night #2 of the Steel City Stampede at Lernerville: 10-17-20

Posted by Vigoda Motorsports on 22 October 2020 - 08:14 AM

Just what did you think you were going to get ?

Im aware that it is nothing more than a complete and unabashed year end money grab. I expect better from Lernerville. I have not and will not attend a Stampede under the current format, cant be the only one.

#448452 Night #2 of the Steel City Stampede at Lernerville: 10-17-20

Posted by Vigoda Motorsports on 22 October 2020 - 08:11 AM

Preach on, Abe. They could make a smaller version of The World Finals. If it paid well, I'd pay twice what they charge for Stampede Saturday.

DirtCar for better or for worse dictates what Lernerville can and cant do with their shows, while what the World Finals is would be ideal for the Stampede Im sure DirtCar wouldnt allow that, especially less than a month before the Finals. No reason they couldnt do:

410 Sprints Unsanctioned 10,000 to win
Super Late Models Unsanctioned 10,000 to win
BRP Modifieds 5,000 to win
Rush Late Models 3-5,000 to win
Pro Stocks 2,000 to win.

Event fixed.

Was not a fan of the World of Outlaws officials this weekend. Saw 4 or 5 instances of docking guys a row for ticky-tacky penalties jumping restarts, Ashton Wingers being the most notable. Thursday, Ziegler and another guy I cant recall get penalized for deck height and last night Bloomquist gets DQed for a bolt that was supposedly on his car all year. A little too much involvement from the officials for my tastes.

Worst possible track promoter to receive any goodwill and attention right now.

#446929 Roaring Knob Racing Today

Posted by Vigoda Motorsports on 10 May 2020 - 05:36 PM

Hilarious that according to their Facebook page, Roaring Knob has people excited to come down and take in the F-You Governor Wolf show from all areas of the northeast. Saw a guy say he planned on coming down from Southern NY, LiveDirtUpdates are doing live Tweets from the track, someone asked if they were doing a live stream...and they got 6 Super Late Models.

Those poor people coming from far and wide were so excited to see some racing and had zero idea that they were getting the Rick Jones Experience.
