Excellent write up once again Randy.

This winter you should write a few races for us to get us through the cold winter months.

This just an opinion so please forgive me in advance. I know 24 cars on that track is a lot let alone 26 but I think sending 2 cars home to save the track $100 is pretty ridiculous. They pay $50 tow fee (which is $25 less than TM) so sending home 2 cars saved them a whopping $100. Pretty crude considering it was fan appreciation night and the fans were there to watch all their favorites. I can see sending home 6 or 8 cars but 2. Without those cars there is NO SHOW!!!! I think some track owners and promoters have lost sight of that fact. Especially after making all the cars buy a $500 transponder. Just my opinion!!!

So using your logic, if 35 late models show up then the track is obligated to start them all and not offend anyone ?

The track is'nt big enough for the 24 they've been trying to start.

Go fast or go home. That's the way it's always been.

Everybody doesn't get a prize in this game.

They should only be starting about 18 cars on that track because that's about all that finish, sometimes less than that.

As far as the transponders go, they should be using them to time trial for starting position..... As they are intended to be used .... instead of running heat races. Then the fast cars are up front out of the junk and can
race.

Did anyone notice the crew guy of Doug eck signaling the driver from the stands fence with his two little sticks? He was either telling eck where to run on the track or trying to land a small fleet of piper cubs on the front stretch. Didn't seem to help very much , he still got beat by three of the fastest steel block late models in the area !

SS has been outta control and is getting worse. AMPs pures were a joke... Pretty close to SS's. The birds pure stock rules are most sensible in area but they need to keep teching IMO. Lots of messing with suspension mounting points. a pure stock should NOT have altered and adjustable mounting points.

If you guys want to mess around with adjustable suspension systems , horsepower with unlimited cubic inch and wide tires ........ Did you ever hear of a class called late model ?

Today's street stocks are late models without the pay. Why would anyone invest $30,000 in a street stock to race for half the pay. It's a dying class that's running out of " stock " parts to use, that's why tracks are allowing the use of more racing parts. Make the street stock class a tube chassis and call it limited late.....one of the only good ideas AMP had. Have a pure stock.....entry level class......and keep it just that STOCK .

Well Legend...Ive been involved in racing since 1976.  We will see how long you last!  The problem with you and most other guys racing.....is that you treat it like a Hobbie!  Its not...its a business!  And one that makes no money!   And it has to make some kind of financial sence.  Other wise you won't last to long!  I understand the Pain of the Promotor as well!  But people aren't on here asking????? Where are all the promotors???  They are asking where all the cars!  I only am answering the car  questions!  But I could answer the Promotion questions as well!

A race track may be a business, but in no way shape or form is a race car a business proposition. Anyone who thinks they are going to make money racing a car is a couple bricks shy of a full load. Racing is a hobby and recreation for most people involved . You have to understand that from the first part you buy for that machine your never getting your money back. If you can't afford that idea then take up golf or fishing to pass your time.

A wise man once said..... The fastest way to make a small fortune is to start with a big fortune and buy a racecar !
