No that's not it at all. "slidejobmaster" is a one poster and is hiding under a screen name just to take pop shots and that's not going to advance anyone. We've (WRP) tried all routes to make people happy and we just hope that the true racers understand. It's not about the low car count last night, it's not about kneejerk reactions, it's not about who's the track spokesperson or it's not about mending fences. What we try to offer is a fair and bargain racing facility that gets people home early when they show up and to have seen a good show. Sure there are bumps in the road and there will continue to be bumps.

All I ask is that people understand that at some point a decision has to be made and it was Dean's decision that we wouldn't have enought time to get the track dialed in for a safe and pleasurable racing event for the drivers or fans. Besides that it's now 12:55 PM and it's still raining here. That's at least 3 straight hours of steady rain in Waynesfield.

In no way am I saying that we wouldn't like to have slidejobmaster at the track, all I'm saying is please don't make unjustified comments to a race promoter that works his tail off trying ot make you happy. He needs to think about more than just the racers being able to get on the track and turn laps......there's safety, media, long distance racers, fans, equipment, time, advertisers and weather. Tonight we're still not out of the woods for pop up thundershowers. I appreciate your love for racing Roger but I'm sure you understand the amount of work to prepare a track and it doesn't happen in a couple of hours like Nascar deos drying the track off. Generally we start prepping the track at 6:00am on raceday and it takes riught up until hot laps.......and that's if we had pre-prepped it earlier in the week. Now you throw in the fact that we raced last night and then need to start from scratch......just not enough time since we lost the 3 hours pluss due to rain.

It's the only call......... We'llk have more races and they will be very exciting! We have plans on running well into September so please keep supporting us and we'll do our best to please everyone!

Dan: I know work at WRP (you post that info often) and I understand you are frustrated with people not always patting you, skip, dean, etc. on the back for the work you put in. Even though you are not the 'official spokesman' for the track, you need to temper your words. Try to find out why the guy is torqued badly enough to say he isn't coming back, etc, etc....mainly try to mend the fence, instead of finish tearing it down.

'slidejobmaster' had a kneejerk reaction, and is entitled to post his beliefs. When you jump on slidejobmaster, and then post disrespectful comments to 'all you people' it shows a lack of professionalism on your part, and that not only reflects poorly on you, but also on WRP because you work there.

Think about that.

i for one live just a couple minutes from waynesfield and can tell everyone on here that it hasnt rained here since before 11 so unless theres a mysterious rain cloud just above the speedway then i dont believe it rained steady there for 3 straight hours i believe thats someone trying to stick up for dean making a quick decision. besides dean shouldnt worry to much about people being mad if the track ruts up and is horrible it does that every week so he shouldnt care to much about that. besides we knew Dean wouldnt try and get the show in tonight he had sprint cars in the lineup he got his late model show in last night no need to try for the sprint cars and i aint sure how many trucks were there last night but they better watch out someone on here said that the car counts were low last night and if the trucks counts was low last night then they may throw the trucks off the schedule next just seen the results posted from last night and there was only 17 trucks there again thats what the stock car guys had down there and they got the boot the trucks have now had that twice are they gonna get booted???? i for one love truck racing on the dirt but they better watch out Dean may cut them

I was through Wavnesfield a couple of hrs ago lots of rain. The fact that they canceled early is great lets us make other plans, heading north to Mich. its not raining there. Last nights show was Great good racing and had to be one of the best track surfaces the lates ran on in the HELL TOUR. Cub did a great job of track prep after the feature I think you could have run Go Karts on it. As far as Dean goes People give him a break. He is doing what it takes to keep the track open, I for one would not want it shut down. Remember its a business and as most business' today alot are making cuts and are ever changing to stay open. Dean just happened to take over the track in a downturned econmany and is struggling right now. With all the bi#$%^^%$ing going on he could very easily throw in the towel and cut his loses I'm glad he has more guts than the whiners that write on here and is hanging in there. Just remember ITS ALWAYS EASY IF YOUR NOT THE ONE DOING IT Hang in there DEAN keep up the good work!!!!!!!

i can see why the truck count was so low last night and why more than a few trucks are for sell, why waste your money driving to the races when you know you have no chance to even finish in the top three. and remeber dean said "NO ONE WILL DOMINATE THIS CLASS". Also fat matt you looked like a complete idiot and cocky with your horrible impression of the worm, what a joke.

Sure tried of you tool. This is all about fun in this class. Maybe you could come and talk to me sometime and see my personality. Fun is what Gabe and I do. If you want to take it as cocky, sorry. You don't know me. Many people love the goofing off in the circle, never thought I would have to come up with so many new dances to tryout, the kids love it.

i would have loved to seen the worm done by matt but i wasnt there and if the track was great last night congrats to dean theres a first time for everything. i wouldnt be mad at dean if he would have given the 360's or stock car guys a chance i mean the stock cars i undestand if the car counts are low everytime and really i aint that mad about the stocks but the 360's deserved to stay on the schedule but dean doesnt want to pay them so he cuts them. i understand the bad economy i really do but what he did to the 360's was pathetic and he lost lots of respect for that. past that if it did rain a bunch in waynesfield then thats a good call to cancell but i live just literally a couple minutes from there and it didnt rain a bunch here and none after 11.

Got a email from Babcock they had plans to go to Shady hill with the mod 3 grand to win. Havent had a chance to find out yet where that place is.

I think every one needs to give it a break. That was some awesome racing last night. If some one wants to dance after a win go for it. Comments are a dime a dozen some are just off the wall. If it was one of the greatest shows of all time some one would have some thing to complain about. A lot a times it could be some one from another web site under a different name just trying to ruffle some feathers.
Lima a week or so ago ( it was st ritas night) they called early because the forecast was calling for tornado warnings, thunderstorms, hail, and damaging winds. They called it early because of the tent, and if some can remember a yr ago there was a big tornado scare when it was headed from the delphos area towards lima. People had to run quickly to get out of the stands and to safety.

I saw Jarvis the next day after the cancel of the st ritas night and he felt bad he told me we didnt get any of that weather we were suppose to. Its always better to be safe than sorry. And have another scare like from the yr before.

Dean might of taken a hit last night on the purse, but you know what any one that says they didnt get their 20.00 bucks worth is not a racing fan, i think the racing was over with by what about 10.00 some where in that time frame. Every thing went pretty well last night, A few unhappy racers mad at each other but racing for that kind of money some will get a little mad. Some one will say that now im kissing up to Dean like im suppose to do to lima, But who cares i enjoyed myself last night and i bet every one else did. Dont tell any one but i did see a guy with a goodyear hat eating a hotdog. Only one.

Here you go i just found out where shady hill is , below is there web site.

Well then witness 23 you and I must be neighbors then because I too live about 3 miles from the track. I can assure you that it rained well past 11 at the track. Afternoon rain might not have been strong but it was a steady drizzle.....if you don't believe me ask Keeler, the 39 truck and the 6p truck as they were leaving the track at around that time after camping out all night. I just drove past the track again and everything was locked up but the kart track was really wet and soggy and it's normally very dry and hard. Yes the sun is out now and whether it was an early call or not it was a call that our promoter made and we should support that. Everyone will never be pleased 100% of the time but he sure makes a great effort to. I'm sure that once things turn around in the economy we'll see 360's, stocks and possibly other shows added.....just give it a year.....we're not giving up!

I heard some one saying that the latemodels during the week ran at some very bad tracks and waynesfield was one of the better ones. I would have to say that Cub and the crew were on top of it last night.
