the only diff. is that they dont bitch and cry about it.... they said it made for better racing........ im not say you do skip but there is alot of people that do, all i can say to them is it is DIRT RACING......

I agree with Paintman, no matter what Dean does he catches flack. Its not just the weather, it was about the point or non-point races last week, the tire rule, schedule changes...etc. I've been unhappy myself at times but have sat back and looked at the big picture and what I would do in his shoes.....
If your a die hard race fan like me you'll get online and find who's racing what and where and go watch some racin!

I am going to go out on a limb and speak for those of us who came from Shadybowl Speedway to race at Waynesfield. We raced in 06 at WRP and hated that we had to go back to that other track.
If you want to see a place run in the ground...., rules not being enforced at all, drivers told if you don't like what I am doing go race somewhere else. No drivers meetings at all. No interaction from the owner at all with the drivers, grass up to your waist, terrible track conditions... and these are just the tip of the iceberg .... you need to all go race there one night and you will appreciate what is being done at WRP. For everything you are complaining about, we can give you alot worse situations we have been put in just because we love to race.
You are complaining about Dean cancelling yesterday... well this is what the bowl did and you tell me which is worse. ... They had a LOT of rain but kept updating their website saying we are racing. So a few spent gas and time towing their cars to the track. The rain had stopped and the sun was out when Shadybowl decided to cancel at about 4 pm after people had already paid to get in.
So which would you rather do. Know early that you are not racing... or take the car to the track, pay to get in and then be told?
We are sure glad we have somewhere else to race other than Shadybowl. Maybe on the 18th, you should pay that place a visit and see what I mean. Or just go on their website and look at feature win picturesand results. You can see there are only 6 cars in most classes and 100 people in the stands. You will be happy to come home to WRP. There are no $1 hot dogs either! lol

I was not complaining. Just stating that no matter what Dean says or does, nobody is happy. I feel bad for the man in having to make all these decisions knowing that people are going to complain no matter what he says. I realize that comes with the job he is doing but it seems to be every decision or choice he makes. I also looked at the radar at sometime between 4 and 5 and there was a pretty big pop up storm close to the track so everyone would have been there and then got cancelled anyhow. We half to make a longer trip than most so it's good to not half to turn around and go back home. Everyone's saying it rained here and didn't rain here and I've personally watched it rain in my back yard and not my front yard so anything is possible. i can see why the truck count was so low last night and why more than a few trucks are for sell, why waste your money driving to the races when you know you have no chance to even finish in the top three. and remeber dean said "NO ONE WILL DOMINATE THIS CLASS". Also fat matt you looked like a complete idiot and cocky with your horrible impression of the worm, what a joke.

sorry skip but waynesfield is nothing compared to fremont and attica. Id go there every week if i didnt live almost a hundred miles away...

Darlena dont know what your talkin bout, If you wanna come down to the pits after the next race, I would be glad to tell you the names of some new fans my brother has made by doing his killer dance moves. I think Dean is doing what he thinks he has to do to keep the track running. I like him doing all the stuff he has for kids at the track this year. They are the future of racing and I think he's trying to pay it forward by getting them involved. Dean has made mistakes this year, and he's tried to make them right. I said it at our preseason meeting for the trucks when the drivers and the track set up the rules together. yes together, No one else at thr track has taken the time to listen to our conserns as a group, let alone twice (when some weren't happy after the first meeting). And that said a lot to me. He could have come in and done whatever he wanted, but he listen to the drivers. I will continue to do everything I can to help build the track, It benefits me as a driver to do so. Even if I didn't like the track it would be an option. Its gonna be a long two weeks off.

You can't please everyone, especially the ones that are just on here to keep stirring the pot! Keep up the good work. Someone told me once................consider the source, and ignore it. Not sure why I reply to you, since your mind is already made up that I cheat, can't drive, and sandbag. But, this week after 4 laps I knew I should have put on D's. My A's went to hell in a hand basket, maybe you saw a few hand over hands in 3and 4 to get it to turn. Also, the same as last year. The field gets better as the season goes on and the passing gets harder and harder. Not to mention all the free advice Weasel racing gives out to help others. I don't want to be in the circle alot, but as I tould you before. I won't sandbag and we all are there to win. Every break this year has gone to me and not to someone else. Brother was and has been alittle faster than I but not any luck. I was about a 4th place truck Fri. but because my bro had to get me by a fender in the heat race. I started in front due to inversion. He got spun , Randy was having motor troubles on the outside and I was able to get Chris early before my tires went away and I held him off by taking his line away. But I know you could see and feel all that from your seat.

Here is my OPINION!!! I think that Limaland and Waynesfield should work together!!! Look at Fremont and Attica! They have created a fan base (Thanks to Fremont , they were there first) that WITH TIME has benefited both tracks , basically running the same classes MOST of the time and then others SOME of the time! This also helps to make it affordable for all , because of that fan base supporting BOTH tracks! And when you build a Race car/truck you have two places to race (Attica DID the 305's , and keep in mind Fremont did the V-8 trucks , Lima did the 360 sprints and Waynesfield did the 4-cyl. trucks) They have all started thier own class! (sharing these classes and working together is what builds a fan base) That is due to the cooperation between them! Here is my take , AND NO , I am not a promoter!!! I know Pitgate is a very cool site a lot of us do go up and read and some times comment. I know a couple of yrs ago i made a comment about some thing and was told by some one from WRP I shouldnt of done it because it was about fremont. I know some on your site do get into some bad comments and they will usually get sent to the whine cellar. I know of a couple who come down to racestuds and dog on lima. They have their right to but do it, but do it under a different name. That i dont do i try to use my name on my comments. Every one has a right to their opinion and their views. We to do not always fight and also have some fun on racestud. I have seen a few fighting on pitgate to. That is some thing that you will never stop. Now on your other comment i agree that lima and the field should try to schedule with the same class,s , When the 360,s were to run every other week at the field i was glad to see that happening. For what every reason it was pulled is Deans call and i respect it for what ever reasons he is doing it. I always liked usac at lima it was a great show. The field has a good showing of non wing cars. I would like to see lima and the field do a 2 night deal of non wing racing not usac. The trucks always had a good car count at lima , that would make for a nice 2 night show. Plus the stocks and the mods. your right stick with a program and keep it.The calls are not up to us its is up to the parties involved. the only thing we can do is comment on them. There will be some who agree with us and some who dont. So that means there will always be some kind of a disagrement between parties. The only thing i can say is try and support your local track because if not like some one said it could not be there the next day.

It was called a C Main because that's what UMP told me to announce it as. In retrospect, I should have called it a consy or last chance race. Sorry about any confusion that caused our fans.

Dude you deserve POST OF THE YEAR!!! Excellent post. Id been thinking the same thing the past few years. They could have a battle every once in awhile with two races. one at lima and one at the field. Keep track of points of each race and combine them to get a Champion... Just a thought...Dont jump me for it

LMP is pretty much married into Eldora, not sure if the university still sponsors the big E or not. Not that I think it's a bad idea for either track though.

well said racechasser i think that would work out great and it would give all of us a great weekend of racing as for what skip said about running the non wings 2 nights in a row that would be a great thing and i think a regular show of 360 sprints, non wing sprint, stocks vs. trucks, and mods would be the best 25 bucks around to spend and watch i know i would be there every weekend and i could prolly talk a lot more people into coming if there were 2 sets of sprints running. to go along with what racechasser said about attica and fremont they run 2 sets of sprints every weekend and i think that has a lot to do with the fan base being so strong. if we could get 2 sets of sprints at our tracks down here i guarantee that the fan base would grow every week and pretty soon the stands would be filled at both tracks. just imagine that show weekly 360's, non wing 410s, trucks vs. stocks, and mods wow that would be awesome. plus they could come up with the points like attica and fremonts fast points. i know were all just fans and die hard ones at that but i wish promoters would read this and start acting on it
