See we are not the only ones having a dust proablem, sounds like some do depend on what the weather will bring.

I am going to go out on a limb and speak for those of us who came from Shadybowl Speedway to race at Waynesfield. We raced in 06 at WRP and hated that we had to go back to that other track.I agree with Paintman, no matter what Dean does he catches flack. Its not just the weather, it was about the point or non-point races last week, the tire rule, schedule changes...etc. I've been unhappy myself at times but have sat back and looked at the big picture and what I would do in his shoes.....
If your a die hard race fan like me you'll get online and find who's racing what and where and go watch some racin!
Have a good 2 weeks everyone!!
If you want to see a place run in the ground...., rules not being enforced at all, drivers told if you don't like what I am doing go race somewhere else. No drivers meetings at all. No interaction from the owner at all with the drivers, grass up to your waist, terrible track conditions... and these are just the tip of the iceberg .... you need to all go race there one night and you will appreciate what is being done at WRP. For everything you are complaining about, we can give you alot worse situations we have been put in just because we love to race.
You are complaining about Dean cancelling yesterday... well this is what the bowl did and you tell me which is worse. ... They had a LOT of rain but kept updating their website saying we are racing. So a few spent gas and time towing their cars to the track. The rain had stopped and the sun was out when Shadybowl decided to cancel at about 4 pm after people had already paid to get in.
So which would you rather do. Know early that you are not racing... or take the car to the track, pay to get in and then be told?
We are sure glad we have somewhere else to race other than Shadybowl. Maybe on the 18th, you should pay that place a visit and see what I mean. Or just go on their website and look at feature win picturesand results. You can see there are only 6 cars in most classes and 100 people in the stands. You will be happy to come home to WRP. There are no $1 hot dogs either! lol
Thanks Dean for having us.

I did not mean to make it look like I was replying to your post. I should have hit reply on some of the former ones that were complaining.I was not complaining. Just stating that no matter what Dean says or does, nobody is happy. I feel bad for the man in having to make all these decisions knowing that people are going to complain no matter what he says. I realize that comes with the job he is doing but it seems to be every decision or choice he makes.
I also looked at the radar at sometime between 4 and 5 and there was a pretty big pop up storm close to the track so everyone would have been there and then got cancelled anyhow. We half to make a longer trip than most so it's good to not half to turn around and go back home. Everyone's saying it rained here and didn't rain here and I've personally watched it rain in my back yard and not my front yard so anything is possible.
I used to go to Shadybowl when I was younger so I know alot of what you are saying. I spent a whole weekend researching other tracks rules to see if we could run the truck somewhere else and you can tell alot of tracks have problems by things stated in their rules. One had to specifically say that wheels are required! Obviously it was stated for a reason. lol I am happy to have you guys back, I like watching compacts!
I'm not trying to argue with anyone, I spent too much time very upset this season and ready to not come back and now I just want to enjoy the races without being upset and mad. I guess I'm like Skip in being a critic of something and then changing my mind. I'm not the one shelling money out to keep the place going and don't want to see it turning into a cornfield!!

Well at least the 1w is not half lapping people like he used to...or like he could. instead hes sandbagging making it look like its a good race. Its funny how he goes blowing past people and then 5 laps later they magically catch him when its obvious hes going slower. It'd be nice to see some new winners, it seems top 3 every week is the same unless there is a wreck or someone breaks. Its the same people out front and 5th-10th is about the only good action lap by lap.i can see why the truck count was so low last night and why more than a few trucks are for sell, why waste your money driving to the races when you know you have no chance to even finish in the top three. and remeber dean said "NO ONE WILL DOMINATE THIS CLASS". Also fat matt you looked like a complete idiot and cocky with your horrible impression of the worm, what a joke.

a quote to live by " never argue with an idiot, he will bring you down to his level and beat you with experiance"
Read that quote on the wrestling site, Yappi. Best quote I've read in a long, long time. It's also the best post on this thread. Bears repeating:
NEVER ARGUE WITH AN IDIOT!! HE WILL BRING YOU DOWN TO HIS LEVEL AND BEAT YOU WITH EXPERIANCE!

Not sure why I reply to you, since your mind is already made up that I cheat, can't drive, and sandbag. But, this week after 4 laps I knew I should have put on D's. My A's went to hell in a hand basket, maybe you saw a few hand over hands in 3and 4 to get it to turn. Also, the same as last year. The field gets better as the season goes on and the passing gets harder and harder. Not to mention all the free advice Weasel racing gives out to help others. I don't want to be in the circle alot, but as I tould you before. I won't sandbag and we all are there to win. Every break this year has gone to me and not to someone else. Brother was and has been alittle faster than I but not any luck. I was about a 4th place truck Fri. but because my bro had to get me by a fender in the heat race. I started in front due to inversion. He got spun , Randy was having motor troubles on the outside and I was able to get Chris early before my tires went away and I held him off by taking his line away. But I know you could see and feel all that from your seat.Well at least the 1w is not half lapping people like he used to...or like he could. instead hes sandbagging making it look like its a good race. Its funny how he goes blowing past people and then 5 laps later they magically catch him when its obvious hes going slower. man you have sat and done some thinkin , sounds like a plan , i hope the powers that be take it into consideration because it has merit there is one thing it would need is cooperation because it would help all involvedHere is my OPINION!!!
I think that Limaland and Waynesfield should work together!!! Look at Fremont and Attica! They have created a fan base (Thanks to Fremont , they were there first) that WITH TIME has benefited both tracks , basically running the same classes MOST of the time and then others SOME of the time! This also helps to make it affordable for all , because of that fan base supporting BOTH tracks! And when you build a Race car/truck you have two places to race
(Attica DID the 305's , and keep in mind Fremont did the V-8 trucks , Lima did the 360 sprints and Waynesfield did the 4-cyl. trucks)
They have all started thier own class! (sharing these classes and working together is what builds a fan base) That is due to the cooperation between them!
Here is my take , AND NO , I am not a promoter!!!
I am a very CONCERNED FAN that has seen alot and want to see these two tracks UNITE!
Waynesfield and Limaland need to TEAM up and RUN the same classes on a weekly basis!
Stray some , like other tracks do , but BUILD THE FAN BASE with the same classes on a Reg. basis !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am only trying to help these tracks , SO IF YOU DO NOT LIKE MY SUGGESTIONS!!! , that is fine and NORMAL for this FORUM! Believe me I can see a difference from Racestud and Pitgate
They work things out at Pitgate and those guys and gals are Hilarious!!!!
All we do here is Bitch and Moan (I am Guilty too of the Bitching and moaning in the Past ) BUT Then I joined PITGATE and Realized a few things!!!!
OK FOLKS , lets look at what is the best for these two tracks , being so close together (Closer than Fremont and Attica EVEN , mileage wise) THEY NEED to work together!!!
The NRA has a good following , but only at LIMALAND , and so does the ELWER FENCE sprints!!! There is a good car count in this area for them ( NO NRA/Lima 360 guys don't seem to wanna travel? , maybe right now it is the ECONO?). BUT If they had TWO tracks to race at each week , that could grow!!! And it would!!! I know I'm right on that one!
Same for the TRUCKS (of waynesfield) They will build more if there is more than ONE race venue! And with two tracks running together there could be Special events and payouts for these Guys/Gals too!!!!
If the Truck guys/gals could run two nites a week , they would LOVE IT!!!!
And when the tracks begin to wreak the benefits THINGS will come together!!!
(meaning maybe more Specials and Such) , but it will take time!!!
Bottom line (and I'm sure there will be other OPINIONS) If these two tracks worked out there schedules and their classes , came to an agreement and put a plan in place and STUCK to it , this would HELP ALL involved , Fans and Racers , and even Sponsors because their products will be seen all weekend long as they are in the north!!!
People I grew up in that region (Fremont/Attica) They are a GREAT example of what WE SHOULD BE trying to build down here and what we COULD have here!!!
It will work with LESS WHINING among Fans and ALOT MORE Cooperation between the two tracks that we are fortunate to have here!!!!
Only my WELL THOUGHT OUT OPINION

Dude you deserve POST OF THE YEAR!!! Excellent post. Id been thinking the same thing the past few years. They could have a battle every once in awhile with two races. one at lima and one at the field. Keep track of points of each race and combine them to get a Champion... Just a thought...Dont jump me for itHere is my OPINION!!!
