Apparently some folks don't understand what it means to be a 'support division'.

The support division is there to fill in the down time, of when the HEADLINERS are making adjustments to their cars/re-fueling, etc, etc.

If there is a glitch in the program...(rain delay, huge turnout in the headline class, problem with the timing system, large accident or injury, power outage)...then the support class is going to get moved to the 'back burner' until the headline class is completed. It has always been this way!!

If somebody is going to refuse to go to WRP in 2010 because they don't have any stock cars scheduled, then that is their perogative......but they are sure going to miss some damn good racing action!!!!!!

No one stated any facts that were wrong did they???? I simply wrote that you guys pushed the stock car guys behind all the sprint racing which i thought was wrong. Every sprint guy that was in the pits that night paid $25 just like every stock car guy that was in the pits that night. You guys screwed the track up and took it out on the stock car guys which to me is pathetic. I think its cool your admitting you were wrong but when you wrote "make sure your facts are straight" the facts were straight you guys did push the stocks completely behind the sprints that night.

Here's the statement I was referring to:

"But for WRP to take the stocks completely off the schedule because of their staff not having the track in good condition that night is completely wrong."

Like I said, I'm not 100% sure why the stocks were removed, but I am quite certain that it had nothing to with one night in particular.

Now if you want to have a pissing match, find someone else. If you want to keep beating a dead horse, you can do so without my intervention, but I will not stand idly by and let false accusations against the track go without saying something.

With that said, I am extremely excited about the 2010 season at WRP. If you want to discuss the classes that are going to be competing this year, I'm all ears, but I am completely done having discussions about classes that aren't running.

Without a doubt, the biggest and best schedule that has ever been arranged for this fine facility. C'mon, The Big Dog 100, All-Stars, Jack Hewitt race and some neat classes coming again this year. This schedule is awesome even if I was a spectator. This is so awesome and April can't come soon enough!!!

I think the reason that the count was low is because at the time, the schedule was jostled around so much that the stockers were P. O. ed that you never knew what was going on. You have to admit it was pretty messed up. The stocks just got tired of being pushed aside and around. So they went to other places. Mainly because nothing was set in concrete. There are still quite a few stocks around. I think one night at Eldora there were 35 or so last season.

Thats the thing about Waynesfield everyone can get so excited about the schedule right now but seriously when it all comes down to it will all these races stay set in stone all season long????? Last year WRP changed the schedule so much the drivers, workers, and owners prolly couldnt keep up. Thats why stock car guys are mad one day they are racing at WRP then before they can get to the track for the next event WRP cancels the night and then all of a sudden they are not on the schedule at all anymore. People keep bringing up the amount of stocks that showed up as the main reason but most of the time theres only 15 mini sprints or compacts at the show but yet they stay on the schedule. I will be the first to admit that theres a lot of good racing at WRP. But also remember that the stock car guys pay just as much to get into the track as everyone else in the pits and they put their lives on the line just like everyone else that suits up. So i think its wrong that WRP treated them the way they did last year. If WRP is not going to run them this year thats their choice and its not going to stop me from coming to WRP. I only show up for the 360 shows anyway or if limaland gets rained out on friday and saturday looks great then i might head to WRP. And i agree April can not come fast enough I need some live racing

The mini sprints went to 1000cc this year, I'll bet you see more than a full field car counts with ASMA & MMSA guy that can change thing up and maybe run closer to home.... We'll see time will tell

I doubt it, atleast on nights that Lawrenceburg or KC run. Closer tracks for most of us with a higher purse. We do plan on coming to Waynesfield on some of our off weekends though.
