If we're looking at it that way they(the crowd) doesn't want any of the classes. In the last 2yrs they tried everything and nothing was the magic trick. As far as the track losing money I've seen lees fans at big class big money shows then on regular nights with non wings and three support classes. So let's just say we go with Lima lands winged sprints ,Mods and stocks. What is going to make them money if you have the same 350 fans in the stands? What I'm reading on here is everyone wants their favorite top classes ie wings, non wings, mods. What I've seen with my own eyes is that the track doesn't bring in enough to pay them without losing money, at least that what the last promoter and owner said in so many words. Some act like WRP is the only track having problems wich could be no further from the truth if it wanted to be. It's that way all over the country. Not trying to be a smart a.. but it seems the classes that can go any where and race are complaing the most and the guys who are counting on WRP to be there are the ones being shoved aside. Let's just wait to see what the new schedule is and make our plans from there. It not fair to ask a track owner to lose money week in and week out, just so some class has a place to race !!! I did not say you were unwanted... the fans did by not showing up to watch !!!

Now I can agree with you on this post. Having their own show should be a help not a hinderence. Its not the racers fault that the "PROMOTER" cant PROMOTE the product and fill the seats.......average of 30 non-wing sprintcars a race..... yet they dont even have a sign off state route 33? you cant expect people to just show up if they dont even know about the place...... you can copy lima's schedule all you want but why would a fan want to watch the same show friday and saturday? make WMP a place worth coming too not a watered down lima!

Landon is correct here. You can ask most promoters and they will tell you that the back gate is where they make the money these days. Most tracks are not getting the people in the stands like they used to, so the rely on the back gate to pay for the program.
This means you want to find the key classes that bring the most cars and buy the most pit passes on a regular basis. And the non wing sprint cars are bringing more and more cars every week, and you are not seeing the same thing you saw the night before at Limaland.
A joint venture between Limaland and WMP would be great, IF Lima would agree to run the WMP classes. It would not help any class other than the wing 360's because they would be the only cars running the 2 tracks, and they typically only have enough cars for a full feature, give or take a few.
Just my opinion, but running the non wing cars in Ohio is a good thing. WMP has found a unique market to this area with the non wing cars., and the growing number of cars each week prove that.
Anybody remember when Limaland was a non wing track, it was a long time ago, but they also had a great weekly turnout of non wing cars. It can be done again.

One thing for sure if someone was wanting to build a car to race in a support class there this board would scare them out of it.And people wonder why the car count is low at WMP. Read all the post on" Facts on WMP 2011". This is stupid. Are these really about the FACTS. Let the owner do what is in his control. I feel he will make it work.
