Stolen was a bad choice of words. Defected from is more like it. And yes we have been treated well by WRP. Like someone said hard to belive a entry level class draws no more cars. It just angers me to hear this same line every year.

Am I the only one that thinks WRP does a fantastic job with keeping things moving and getting done at a good time? As someone pointed out above, a lot of the issues were due to things beyond control of anyone - accidents, weather, damage to track, etc.

I too am bummed with the counts in my division, and thank WRP for sticking up for us. I know a lot of guys who started the season here are out with broken engines, transmissions, cars, etc. As someone else pointed out Saturday, I think if Lima would go to the Hoosier tire next year, the count would be helped some.

NO dirtracer your not the only one that thinks that WRP does a fantastic job! I couldnt be happier or get more bang for my 12 bucks any where. I guess its all what you want, I like the 6 classes, yes it makes the races run longer but I guess if you dont look forward to Saturday NIGHT dirt track racing all week then watch Napcar and quit bitching! You cant make everyone happy and some people have nothing better to do then wine and complain but these are the same winey asses pick apart anything the track does or doesnt do.
Money is tight for most and sponsorship is down for most which means that if its broke now, it might have to wait till next year when teams get more money. This is common sence, next year youll see all the people that are MIA untill they run out of funds. It sucks without question, but not everyone can afford to make it all year.
I think Shobe, Kelly and the WRP crew are doing a hell of a job! Im sure this will get deleted but sheesh I think some people live to wine and complain for what ever reason. Maybe its some mental issue or just a case of pms I dunno.

You have teams who for whatever reason skip a week even though their running top 5 in points. This would be my team you are talking about, I had my reasons for not being there and it was my decesion not yours or anyones else. The money I save that one night was more then we would have made in the points. pretty easy decesion!!!! Dan Kelly asked me the day of my fathers funeral if we would help support WRP in the stock car class this year and we said yes we would. The points dont mean nothing to us, I used WRP everyweek for differnt set-up on our car that helps us at Lima and Eldora, I put my son in it the last two weeks and we are putting Kevins boy in it this week. The car has been there every week other then that one week. Are we talking about getting another one of our cars out next year for my son, (Yes) If they take the stock cars from Waynesfiels we still have Eldora & Lima to run, not being mean about it but we support the other tracks also. As far as tearing up a car and making it back the next week, we tore the car up Friday night @ limaland bad. Left rear clip was bent 4 1/2 inches down and the right rear was bent 2 1/2 spent all night fixing door bars, rear bumper The car came off the frame jig around 4:30 am, started puting deck bars and support bars back on. Replace all the inner and outter tie-rods on the frt with the center drag link, two new upper A-arms with new ball joints, gear box, set all caster and camber scaled the car and made it to WRP Saturday to show are support. But it takes money to do this stuff other teams would have quit for the year, and thats where we start to loose the car counts towards the end of every year. So who ever posted this about our car I will be in the pits or might even be in the grandstand with some friend that are going to make a trip to the field to watch this week, look me up and we will decuss why I missed that week. Well guys just my 2 cents.........this is my first year of racing in the compacts and I am having a blast.......as for the amount of classes it's no matter to me.....I love to watch the races as well as race.......I know guys who race in all the classes and it's a really great feeling to be involved with great people that enjoy their sport.......Oh yeah I'm sure everyone has at one time had a gripe or complaint for some reason and you get that in whatever you do, if not then everyone would be doing it.......The staff is doing a fantastic job and keeping up with all that goes on is one tuff job and not easy at all.......just trade places with them one night and you would see........Sure I'm part of a race team ( Thanks Jerry and Amanda Butler ) and we have a blast every weekend......we tear stuff up and fix it best we can to be able to race the next weekend. But I can see how the economy has hurt many racers and fans alike. I have had many friends come to the races that have never been to a dirt track and there reaction was.....WOW and you do that every weekend you lucky somebitch.......and they have returned to see me race. I' not that good at it but I'm consistent and I'm having fun and also getting my boys interested in it as well. So it goes back to family and spending time with family doing something you love to do I'm sorry but you can't put a price on that...........See you all at the track for a great night of fun...........

Let me make one point here for everyone. NO decisions have been made as far as what or how many classes will run in 2012 at Waynesfield Raceway Park. Greg Shobe will ultimately be the one who makes those decisions based on what he feels is best for his race track. I personally would like to thank each and every driver, car owner, crew member and fan for being part of WRP in 2011. We have had a banner year, and I look forward to helping make things better in 2012 and beyond.

Ramrodd maybe you should know the facts before you open your keyboard, Post was tore up in our wreck Friday night, and decided not to put the car back together to race Saturday. Keith Blew the motor in his car Friday, Was given a motor from Tim Cole but never put it in the car. Its not worth the 3,000.00 to rebuild the motor for a few hundred dollars you receive for the points!!!!! And as far as being DENFENSIVE no just stating the truth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dont see your name at the end of your post.

Defensive much? Note that I said "teams", meaning there were more than 1. Your car, the Post car and I believe 1 other missed a week while running top 5 this year. Hell, even the points leader didn't show up this past week until feature time. Like I said, for whatever reason, the stock cars aren't showing up, and it's not just the end of year damage deal.

Nope. 62 was the only one in top 5 points that missed a week this year.

A lot of it IS damage related. Billy Siferd lost a trans, and has another youngin' on the way so he decided he better not spend the money to fix it right now. Launder planned on running there quite a bit, broke the motor twice. Gazarek was to run there, but suffered an injury that put him out. Weasel Philipot broke an engine. I broke a motor early this year, and had to live without any luxuries at all until my savings rebounded from the cost of fixing one, and buying a replacement to get me by. Now my replacement looks to be hurt, will know more tomorrow. Wootens destroyed their cars. There's a lot of people that don't come every week, but there is also a lot more who try to come every week but can't.

Yes your right my car was in the middle of the wreck and got tore up pretty good!!!! But its also the car that CAUSED the wreck. Yes by far we had the fastest car there all year at lima, But the fastest car don't always win. Like the old stayment goes (To finish first - first you must finish)

The idea of cutting time down for the fans could be taken care of by running mains for classes with the smaller car counts. The question is where do you draw the line. Just invert by points, draw the first night you point from there on. The idea of going to only four classes a night will only drive the racers away. You take 3 classes and rotate the others and those classes will only race twice in a month and a half. Who wants to do that? You might just as well cut them. Now if you look at it from a financial point last week there were only 11 compacts but at least 26 people in the pits with them that I could name off the top of my head the track made money off them just in pit passes let alone anyone in the stands who came for them. I just doubt that any other class does that. The trucks would be my next closest guess. Personaly I can live with any decision that is made as long as it's made in a timely manner.

The truth of your post is for the most part the compacts that are at WRP were stolen from the bowl. The problem is none of the dirt crowd has taken them to heart. I hate to say this 'cause I really like WRP someone needs to say yea or nay now not in march. I'm sure the guys with stocks and mini's would appreciate the same consideration.

Stolen from the Bowl ?

I didnt see the beginning of the wreck just caught the tail end of it. And i agree with you your car was definitely one of the fastest if not the fastest car at limaland this year

Stolen from the Bowl ?

Like I said in above post a poor choice of words. On the other hand thats where most came from and were glad to get to come to WRP. My point was no one seems to want to join in. It is a very cheap way to get into racing and everyone is willing to help newcomers. Sorry my post came over that way. I was just a little fired up hearing this same song and dance again this yr. The thing is I bring 2 cars every week and have built most of the cars there and I'm just getting frustrated thinking it's not going to work. Guess I just need to keep my big mouth shut and accept what ever happens.
