In my opinion, if you start inverting features there's going to be alot tore up trucks. I'm new so maybe I'm wrong, but that probably would be the nature of the beast there. If that did happen alot, it could effect truck count. I think features should be based off of heat finish position, 9 out of 10 times if you deserve to be in the front, you will be no matter what twist you put on starting spots.

2nd is the first loser

Yes you are right it is the nature of the beast. But what's wrong with that . What happend to gold old saturday night racing were pushing and rubbing is part of the fun. Your gonna run close if you want pass you don't have the HP to blow by anther truck. A little bumping and banging is fun everyone that bumps another truck does not mean he trying to take him out on purpose he is just racing hard and things just happen. When its done on purpose thats not good but come on were not driving down to get a pizza were racing. When the top 4 or 5 trucks start lapping the the field in 8 or 9 laps something needs done to even the playing field or make the trucks that have the better handling lol work for the win . Its a easy night wen i roll on the track and i know i only realy have to beat 3 or 4 trucks i know there is about 3 others working hard to be up front maybe this year will be the year that all changes i bet thy will work hard in the off season to be fast i know we are and a lot of others too . I just want the class to grow even have a B main a lot of guys do not think it's all that fun to get lapped in just a few laps mabey i'm wrong mabey thats just the way i think. I do not know anyone that spends his money to go racing that looks over as he is being laped and says you go on i did not want to win i'm hear only for fun.

Here we go again trying to add gimicks to even the trucks so the slower trucks can keep up. I don't get it . When you get into racing you should know what your getting in to. It takes lots of work and dedication if your not willing to do that don't complain about X,Y or Z being faster. Your basketball team plays all the time and works hard to play better basketball than our team wants to, so when we play your team you have to take one shoe off to make it fair B.S. I hope racing never gets to the point that we have to be politically correct so no ones feelings get hurt. I always thought that racings point was to build the fastest car/truck possiable within the rules and go out and finish FIRST. Look at any class of racing there are the fast cars erery week, then you have the guys that run in the middle of the pack and the guys running at the back . It's not just the trucks that you have this in. When you start racing deceide where you think you can be with your budget, and try to be better than that every week. The main thing is to have fun racing.

I think this topic has to points: 1: cost of racing. I think some of the points made are simply to limit the amount of spending that is needed to be competitive. Yea if your capable of putting your own motors together, that's great. Some guys cannot so that is an increased cost above all the "not so stock" parts needed to go fast. And yes some people could build their own lower a arms or buy racing leafs, but some people can't. So its about keeping the class affordable to ALL the racers in the class. 2: entertaining. Drivers and fans want to see a race. Want to be in close competition and every driver wants to have a chance to win. I don't think its any intention to prevent any certain driver from winning. I feel its making it more competitive to all that participate and giving a better show for the fans. Every post is strictly the opinion of the person who wrote it. All are entitled. Just be sure that when its time to speak up to those that will write the rules, do so. The truck class is WRP own and has grown to fair numbers and phenomenal drivers. I hope it continues to move in a positive direction. Jeremy

WOW Jeremy you hit all my points an the head you just said it alot better. The only reason i started this is because they said there might be a rules change and i was hoping for a answer sooner than later so everone had a chance to make there plans for next year. They can say what they want but i know your not going to spend 1000 dallars on a motor and keep up. the guys who claim not to have big motors mainly do in 99 we ran mods at lima all the guys up front had so called little motor i called my tricked out 415 a little claimer motor. It's been that way sence racing started. You would look a little crazy telling everone Yea i win because i got a bigger motor than everone that dosn't sound as good as i got a little motor we just out handled you LOL. The trucks are a great class we had alot of new trucks the last couple races. you would think a budget class would be a little more competetive .

I'm not talking about a top of the line mullins or dargie. To go fast at waynesfield, you do not need 700+ hp. Even better yet, some guys at montpelier, skyline, KC, and hilltop are running really low budget 305s and 350s. If your spending $5,000 on a stock car motor, i advise searching online for a motor, or building your own to cut down on labor costs. You can build a 383 for $2,000-$3,000 and get around 500-600 hp with it. Often you can find really good deals on racingjunk, or in other racing classifieds. Theres no rule stating that a machine shop has to build your motor, or that their motors will automatically be better than a do-it-yourself built one. It also helps to know the little odds and ends, sometimes people spend money on parts that dont necessarily help them.

aparently you have never went to kc skyline, or hilltop.i have raced at those places, and the guys that run up front have bigger motors then you are saying. buying motors on racing junk is very risky, unless you know damn sure who your dealing with.
