I knew last summer when I bought my truck, that a claim rule was there. I bought a race ready, middle of the pack truck. It seems like if I have to pay $1750 and give them my truck, I would be an idiot to claim someone, unless someone is spending ALOT more than the rest of us. If I were slower, I already know what I have with my truck, why would I spend that money claiming a truck, instead I would upgrade the truck I have. I think a claim rule is good, especially a engine claim rule, but I'm too new at this class to know what the $ numbers should be on average. The only thing I don't like in the rules is that the officials can claim your truck for $1750?!

i think its good to do something to stop it from going any farther! like was said this is a working mans class. i sure do not want to have to spend a ton just to run in the top 5. it would be nice if someone else had a chance to win! BUT i believe there are a couple or mabey even 4 or 5 other trucks that might have a chance to win every year you see a lot of trucks getting faster i bet theirs going to be a lot of good racing up front!

Too bad a Dyno teching system would be too expensive and time consuming. You could have your motor dyno'ed, and if it fits certain specs, it would be stamped(in multiple places on engine, of course) to show it has been approved. But this would be too time consuming for the track having to deal with new trucks and motors throughout the year. I'm just wondering if this will help or hurt the class in the end. I doubt that any racer will use the Claim Rule, but perhaps some might park it due to the fear of the track claiming and getting no truck back in return. I guess some take pride and joy into their "toys" and wouldnt give them up, but others are willing to take the risk to win.

If the claim is $1700 and a truck swap, is the track building a truck so if they claim someone they have a truck to swap? I didn't look at the rules, I was just going by what was said on here. Maybe there is no truck swap.

According to the way rules are worded, the officials can take your truck for $1750 and no truck trade. That's the only part I really don't like about the rule and its wording.

i have heard rumor that the rule posted is changing a little or in some cases a lot i have ben watching their web site for the complete and finale rules that we can print because everyone always follows the rules! But hopefully they can come to a finale ruling soon we are down to 3 months till test and tune. If someone or even a couple people come up with a good idea or trick way of doing things i hope they stick to their rules for this year and if they do not like something make all their changes at the end of the season then we do not have to worry about whats going to be changed for the next year. I know the people that run the track a busy just like everyone else is so going through this 3 months before the season is crazy for everyone!
