Brad sweet won the sprint feature over dale blaney, kasey Kahne, and I believe Dave blaney. Tony Stewart flipped on lap 2 was a prick to a 5 year old kid in the pits after the race. Track seemed to be in decent shape. No issues that I could see. Brad Sweet's 49 car was stupid fast Pretty good night of racing overall

Wouldn't expect any different from him. He needs to remember that they are kids and don't know that he thinks he is better than everyone else. I've seen him do that to many kids.

Unfortunately, Tuffy 59 makes his comment but does not elaborate on what happened. I think your comment is unwarranted.

The only times I've been to an open wheel race and a driver was bannered off with yellow tape was when Stewart was at Sharon and the last couple of times I saw him race at Fort Wayne. Other then those times I can't ever remember body guards and a driver or drivers roped off in the pits at an open wheel race. I wonder if he paid for the security and Blaney and Kahne just went along with it?

Stewarts an arrogant putz, & has been for years. I saw him ignore an adoring fan years ago at Volusia, & I doubt hes changed since then. Never liked him after that. I'll bet he lays awake crying cause I don't like him ,,,,lol!!! All the way to the Bank!

I seen him in the pits at lernerville for the Silver Cup race last year. He didn't have it taped off and a crowd people were standing all around his car taking pictures while he was sitting in it. Don't blame him for one second if he did have that set up, but I think it is something that Sharon has done for all of them the last few years.

while i agree the young fans should get attention no matter what... you also have to think that tony just flipped 3 times during that race

and I am pretty sure it is Sharon who does that, cause most other tracks they arent roped off and in a while different pit area

I like Tony as race car driver, but I think he needs to take a lesson from John Force. I watched Force at Norwalk on Sunday, and he has to be to most gracious big name in racing with the fans, who of course, are all allowed in the pits at an NHRA event. Force signed autographs, posed for pictures, talked with the crowd - made more possible with his elimination in the first round. But his other three cars continued on, with Mike Neff winning, so Force had to be back at the track each round. And BTW, I am not a Force fan - I usually root against his cars winning. Another great thing I saw at Norwalk was David Grubnic asking a man and his young son to help him pack his chute! The kid was thrilled when they were done (and so was the father), but it's part of the way the NHRA drivers interact with the fans.

I'm not going to get into an argument about his character bc frankly I don't care.

I saw him refuse to sign an autograph for a little kid. The kid walked up and asked and Tony said very sarcastic "not now hot rod. I'm busy"

I will say that he is not obligated to sign that autograph, I just feel it was a prick move not to.

It doesn't effect my view on him one way or another because I don't really have personal feelings towards "famous" people unless I know them personally.

Take it how you want I was just saying what I saw. I've had people tell me a lot of stories similar to this about him before but I'm only going off what I saw.

But, you also hear about all the great things the guy does for charity and whatever.

Again, not judging the guy because as I said I don't care about his character because I don't know him personally...

I've seen the same thing at the silver cup with one difference:

Tony hiding in his hauler until it was time to get into the car and running back to the hauler once he was out of the car

The same night I saw Kasey Kahne almost get left behind by his hauler because he was signing autographs for kids.

Not saying that makes Kasey better than Tony. I'm just pointing out the differences between the 2

Also, that night at the silver cup after Steve Kinser lost by getting too high into the cushion with less than 5 laps to go I saw him stay and sign autographs for many people.

Like I said I'm not judging just pointing out differences. It is their right to sign or not sign or to be nice to kids or not acknowledged kids. But as that is their right it's also my right to point out when I think someone could be a little nicer to kids...

Fans need to calm down when they are in the pits. Especially when they are dealing with NASCRAP drivers. The sense of entitlement amongst fans is absolutely regoddamndiculous.
