I've seen the same thing at the silver cup with one difference:

Tony hiding in his hauler until it was time to get into the car and running back to the hauler once he was out of the car

The same night I saw Kasey Kahne almost get left behind by his hauler because he was signing autographs for kids.

Not saying that makes Kasey better than Tony. I'm just pointing out the differences between the 2

Also, that night at the silver cup after Steve Kinser lost by getting too high into the cushion with less than 5 laps to go I saw him stay and sign autographs for many people.

Like I said I'm not judging just pointing out differences. It is their right to sign or not sign or to be nice to kids or not acknowledged kids. But as that is their right it's also my right to point out when I think someone could be a little nicer to kids...

You don't judge, but you just call the guy a prick. That would be the same prick who has come to this charity race four years in a row. That would be the same prick who has a charity race at his track every year. This last year's charity was "Feed the Children"....

Fans need to calm down when they are in the pits. Especially when they are dealing with NASCRAP drivers. The sense of entitlement amongst fans is absolutely regoddamndiculous.

if not for fans his sport and his entity don't exist. It's not like i'm mad he didn't sign for me. You'd think he'd be nice to the kid especially in a sport that doesn't have young kids interested like it once did...

But I see your point. Sometimes fans expect too much. They are people 1st and sometimes people have bad days or whatever. I Just didn't really like what I saw...

I'm aware of his charity work. I spoke about it. Just didn't like the way he treated that kid. I'm not saying he is a prick or a bad guy. What I saw with my own 2 eyes was him being a prick. He may have been mad he wrecked or may have been upset about other stuff. I'm not taking away from all the good he does I'm just saying he was a prick to the kid. That is all. Didn't realize people would be so sensitive about someone they don't even know. Maybe you do know him and that is why you feel the need to defend him...

Walking up to a driver after he's destroyed a race car and asking him for an autograph is classless and the kid's parents should have known better than to send their kid for an autograph in that situation.

Also, asking a driver for an autograph during the nights racing action is also classless.

Fans don't really belong in the pits most of the time anyways. There are tons of them who have no idea of how to act.

Fans in the pits is the main reason they do have those stupid ropes up and separate pit stalls. It gets out of hand when guys are trying to back out and you have to clear a path because people are staring at one of these NASCAR guys sitting on a tire. After the race, fair game, but during the races, the fans bring all the negative things on themselves I agree.

I am still not saying it was a good thing blowin off this little kid, but if your quote is exactly what he said, then I feel like it could have been handled much worse, like him saying "not now, get lost" but have you ever listened to Tony? Everything he says sounds sarcastic, I am sure he didnt mean it like that, and he called the little kid Hot Rod, when I was little I would have taken that with more joy than a signature.

not really. I provided an update. Guess i could have left out the comment about Tony Stewart. Didn't know he was some people's personal Jesus. If I had to do it over again I'd have left that out. I forget that Racestud is filled with children who love to getting into pissing contests and get defensive if everyone in the world doesn't share their opinion...

Name calling now? We've moved from children to toddler level... Pathetic. Always fun to see people resort to name calling when someone doesn't share their opinion What a waste of bandwidth some of you are...

First off the track was dusty(i could live with dust) but i don't think anyone passed anyone in the sprint feature. In my eyes the race sucked. Second off the rope around the super stars is one thing but later in the night the security wouldn't you off the asphalt! Third the food lines were slow the hot dogs were grease and cool, the drinks were warm and the fries soggy. I went to support Lou but that will be the last time. They should do Lou a favor and move the race to another track.

I gotta agree with you, guy. If it had been one of the Busch brothers, every swinging d!ck on here would be throwing them under the bus. Oh, and they also are involved in several charitable organizations.

Those were two good heat races. Carl was definately up on the wheel. And Jack's pass, three wide out of two turn was awesome. Besides the first couple of cautions, the modified feature was pretty racy with the top five guys going pretty good. I am not a Bolland fan, but he had a nice run coming from the middle of the pack.

I didn't notice too much dust. I was sitting in turn 4 and didn't even need glasses. Not sure about other spots though. I know turn 2 can be pretty dusty as it was for the Allstar show.

There wasn't a whole lot of passing for the lead but there was some decent racing from 2nd on back. Stewart was flying pretty good until he wrecked and Hafertef (spelling) got caught up in it. I know they were 2 of the fastest cars so that might have made it more interesting. Brad Sweet was bad fast all night though. I don't know if anyone could have caught him on any track surface. It wasn't the greatest race I've been too but every race can't be a thriller.

I didn't purchasing any food/drink so I can't comment on that but a buddy of mine got chicken fingers and fries and said they were pretty good.

All things considered I thight it was a good night of racing and I was happy to be a part of honoring Lou

I was pleased with the track condition as compared to the Allstar show. Have to give Sharon credit for that.

while i agree the young fans should get attention no matter what... you also have to think that tony just flipped 3 times during that race

and I am pretty sure it is Sharon who does that, cause most other tracks they arent roped off and in a while different pit area

what is his excuse every other time?

people are annoying? There was a set time for autographs, if you really wanted it, go to that, not when work is being done on the car

Only went cause it was a race for Lou. When you can't even turn your head when a kid calls your name for a photo that is plain ignorant. Before you say he probably didn't hear, there were no cars racing. When was the autograph session? I was there early.

Best parts of the night for me Sodeman beating Kekich and Bolland winning over King.
