We made a concious decision prior to the 2012 season that our PPMS Rules of Procedure would include the following. WEBSITES & SOCIAL MEDIA: Any comments detrimental to Pittsburgh’s PA Motor Speedway or Miley Motor Sports Inc or any of its employees or competitors as determined by Miley Motor Sports may result in severe fines and/or banishment from the facilities.

It is easy for people on here to say they agree when they haven't spent over 100,000 on their racing operation and had their car get wrecked for no reason, it does cost money to fix these cars!

Tracks and car count is hurting enough, now by banning people is gonna make it worse. I guess car count will go up at lernerville, mercer, marion center, ect.

no? those tracks will get no gain from this decision, or any decision in the future from ppms. Most of the cars do not run any of those tracks, with a select few running Lernerville.

I dont think Matt is talking about just some disagreement on opinion, I think he is talking a little more serious than just going around saying youre banned youre banned youre banned cya later.

You have to understand where the decision comes from, if potential sponsors go on someones website, or on here and some of you who hide behind your names, or some that dont, are talking negatively and degrading the staff, racers, Matt, etc. it will hurt the BUSINESS in a severe way.

As Lastlap said this is another reason not to go, no this is a reason to continue to go and support your local track, people like him are the reason these rules are put into effect.

When you have a problem, go to the promoter and discuss the issue. Do you air your personal laundry on here? By not going to the promoter only aggravates the situation. I don't know any promoter that would respond, and try to resolve an issue on this board.

I love when idiots make this their arguement...nobody said that you CAN'T speak freely. But what they're saying is that you aren't welcome at their establishment if you bash their business. If you walked into someone's house and started talking badly about them, you're not going to get arrested for it, but you're probably not going to be welcome back.

I think it's a good idea. I know that if I was thinking about going to PPMS, and I came on here and read some of these people's comments, I'd NEVER go there. But having been there, I know that the racing lately has been second to none, and it's actually being ran pretty well right now. So I agree with their policy.

We all know what comments are way over the line. Thats what we are talking about. No one loves the freedom of speech more than me. We must run PPMS as a business, the reality is it is a hobby for everyone that plays there, no one, racers or owners make a living at PPMS. We want our hobby to be fun and enjoyable. Opinions on who wrecked who are part of the game, and everyone is entitled to one. Controversy and differing opinions are part of every sport. Fighting and now in the new era of social media, slanderous remarks and distasteful personal references have come into play. It's pretty sad that a few folks have to post distasteful remarks. Who would want new families to read that stuff?...and who cares? We do, and so should everyone that wants racing to prosper. We are gaining momentum at PPMS, whether the naysayers like it or not. We are going to be as fair as we can be and we are going to treat people with respect and we are going to ask the same of our competitors. We just don't feel that is to much to ask, simple ole courtesy and respect. We will continue to take feedback from identified sources in a serious light. Much of what is going on at PPMS is a direct result of those who support PPMS and have taken the time to share constructive feedback. We thank you. We will continue to try new ideas and repeat what works, everyone gets a vote by attending or not. We will have some more failures, we will not fail to try!

Matt you say you appreciate constructive feedback well maybe you need to take a tip from Lernerville and start DQ'ing people for rough driving to let them know it is not tolerated. Last 2 weeks you have had incidents where someone has driven through someone else and the black flag never came out.
