If you pay $53, you :
Get in for free (all access)
All the food you can eat
All the beer you can drink

May be thats worth $53?

I don't see where Matt Miley posted anything about "all access", free food and beer included with $53. I can't believe he'd take a $20K + hit. Even then, it still isn't worth it to me.

You want $53 from a 1,000 Racestudder's? Then I say that we get together as an organization and invest in your event in the form of a loan We get our money back, plus a percentage of the profits. You just want me to cough up $53 for the benefit of the owners of PPMS? I say no chance in hell.

The Studder challenge for the RMR!

All the studders know everyone would be there!

If 1000 studders put $53 on first place for SLM it would be $53,000 plus $5000 posted to win! $58,000 to win and only $20 to watch it!

The RMR Racestud challenge!

$53 sponsors will be accepted from the nameless, just send cash or a money order!

to,

MMS, STUDDER FUND for the RMR
P O BOX 4530
Pittsburgh, PA 15205

Finally we have an opportunity to see a National event brought to you by the Studders!...only $20 for the casual fan!

Ante up!

Since you're accepting money anonymously, is it safe to assume you have changed your beliefs and will now consider gripes and disagreements from the unnamed? I mean, you wouldn't want to be a hypocrite, right?

$20 to watch...plus a $53 donation = $73 to watch. Nice spin, though.

Hopefully the race is well attended so that when the profits are split 1,000 ways everyone puts a little in their pockets.

If at first you don't succeed, then maybe you just suck.

I thought this track is ran as a "Hobby" as i've seen posted a few hundred times. You want to have a hobby, you pay for the expenses yourself IMO.

Or in this case, EVERYONE ELSE should PAY for the benefit of the PPMS.

Someone may have been drinking heavily here. There has to be an extra zero added in the figure. If 15 racestudders donated 53 dollars, that would make it a $5795 to win. I'm guessing they take 5 bucks from the concession cash register to make the remaining 5 bucks thus totaling 5800 to win. This seems to make much more sense than actually expecting really begging for 1000 people to fork over 53 bucks. Or it could just be a bad joke. ...hopefully.

I pay hoping I will see a good race.

Not saying I agree or disagree with Matt's approach just pointing out to those that are outraged he would ask for there help paying a purse is that any track you goto you pay the purse if you paid to get in.

Big E use to ask on Racestud for lap sponsors for the Fire Cracker, just had a different approach.

Racing tonight, Sunday July 29 at 6pm!

Miley Motor Sports will be paying the purse, which is always guaranteed regardless of car count and has always been paid in full for 23 consecutive years.

There are 2 events in which sponsors and fans may add to the Posted PPMS Purse.

The JOOK George Classic & The RED Miley Rumble

Two men we admired and respected. Our businesses always kick in to help sponsor both. The racers win, and so do the fans by seeing great events.

It's really pretty simple, if you don't want to be a position sponsor or can't afford to be one, that's okay, just come and enjoy the events. If you have the generosity and wherewithal to sponsor the events we welcome it.

Again, thank You to those who support our sport!

It's easy to be self centered, over the course of life you will find that when you do things that help or benefit others it feels pretty darn good. If you have never tried it, try it some time, you just might be surprised!

We in no way are " begging" here. People have choices and options, this is simply one of them...supporting race teams with bonus money if you can afford it and chose to do it!

Like everyone else on this board We get to choose what WE say, knowing that not everyone will agree, and that's ok, it's what makes the world go round!

Great Steel Block Bandit racing plus 2 Super Late features at PPMS tonight! Hope you chose to join us!

And the driver/teams that race GET their pit admission BACK if they do good. People in the stands pay $20 to get in, get $0 back.

How about, as a race fan, you get to witness a good night of racing. But apparently you'd rather just complain. Almost every sport is supported in large part by the fans, hefty ticket and concession prices for Major League baseball, NHL hockey, NFL football, NASCAR, the list goes on and on. And no rebates. You vote with your wallet, if you're willing to pay, you go, otherwise you stay at home. No different with local racing. As indicated, the fan support for the Red Miley is totally voluntary, don't know why everyone is making such a big deal about it.

Yes, that was great. First a challenge - Ante up! Then, when that wasn't well received, a guilt trip - donate, unless you're too poor or don't want to support racing.

If at first you don't succeed, then maybe you just suck.

Asking race fans or race teams for more money on top of their ticket price only shows the laziness of a promoter. They should be calling on local businesses to sell real sponsorships. Of course, this comes from the same track that forced the racers to find sponsors for the Jook George race in the past in order to have the race and the track that jacks up their pit admission just to run a special for the support divisions.

Please, please do not compare this with the PR work done by Big E. If you knew anything about PR, you would not have made that statement.

If at first you don't succeed, then maybe you just suck.

Have you ever attended any of the events you listed and been asked to help contribute monetarily ON TOP OF YOUR TICKET AND CONCESSIONS to attract better and/or more players? This would be the equivalent of going to a Curve game and being told that if 1,000 people donate $53, Andrew McCutcheon will play centerfield tonight. Or going to a Baby Pens game and being told told that if 1,000 people donate $53, Sidney Crosby will play 20 minutes tonight.

As indicated, the fan support for the Red Miley is totally voluntary, don't know why everyone is making such a big deal about it.

Perhaps because it was issued as a challenge to "Ante up!" or you won't get the national event that you want; that it's the fans' fault that crown jewel money isn't being paid. Not much tact for advertising voluntary donations. Perhaps because it's coming from the same guy who calls out people for not including their social security number, mother's maiden name, and most recent pay stub when using the message board, but would be glad to collect their money.

If at first you don't succeed, then maybe you just suck.
