as someone else said earlier . The Grove is $14- $15 front gate, plus Lernerville pays out $21K - $22K total for all divisions, compared to the Groves $17,300 for sprints only. are you looking for a sprint only show every friday night??? I'm not defending lernerville by any means. but the stands seem to be packed most every time there is a race. not another track around area gets better attendance. and how many tracks in country every Friday Night run 410 sprints. Super Late Models. Big Block Modifieds. and Stock Cars?? you think if they raised sprint payout. the guys from out east would make haul to lernerville every friday??? i seriously doubt it. what drivers are you thinking would show up if they indeed increased sprint purse???Exactly, Dirt and Risch dont seem to understand this. They will have to spend more money on the purse, but in turn, it brings better cars. Better cars bring better racing, and better racing brings more fans. Though Lernerville would start off spending more money, they would actually gain it all back and some once the competition and talent starts coming hoping for that bigger pay day. But most tracks these days, escpecially lernerville, are so 'back gate mentality' that it hurts the drivers and fans.
Im just happy they begun preparing the track so its racible. We will see again tonight. Then our next step is to convince lernerville to raise the pay so we fans can get a better bang for our buck.

what sponsorship is so much better around williams grove area that is better than around lernerville area?? and how do you get they have more fans to draw from???? harrisburg metro area 537,000 people. pittsburgh metro 2,300,000. ???????? if anything people in this area have more to choose from to spend money on friday or saturday night.3799 pretty much hit the nail on the head. The Central PA tracks have a lot better sponsorship than the tracks here do, and more fans to draw from. If some track here had Central PA level sponsorship, it'd be Katie-bar-the-door as to what kind of quality shows they could put on. The kind of shows we do as specials they do every week out East, and if any track here ever gets their level of sponsorship on a weekly basis, they will dominate the local racing scene like I've never seen done here.

the groves "sprints only" purse is $17300 ...true, the 410 sprint purse is $17300as someone else said earlier . a simple check of their schedule shows you that any regular show paying $17300 for the 410s NEVER is 410's only
tell the entire story {not just a part of it to try & convince local folks that Lernerville's purse is comparable due to the fact that they pay peanuts to the 3 big divisions}
also if most of the "experts" on this board were to attend "down east" on a regular basis they would come to know as i have after 6 years living there & another20 years attending as often as i could make it......what REAL entertaning, get your moneys worth weekly dirt track racing is
that's a VERY rare commodity "round these parts"

It was $4,000...it was a URC show, not a weekly 358 race. That's 4 staight Sprint wins for Smoke.

what are you putting into your pipe??? so the racing around here sucks compared to the sprint cars out east ???? getting your money worth watching 410 sprints and 358 sprints and nothing else on friday nights. yippie. what do they pull between the 2 classes maybe 50 cars on a good night?? so then you can have a higher payout. what is average car count at lernerville over 80. and you get 4 classes every night. comparing williams grove to lernerville is apples and oranges. if all you want to see is sprint cars head to williams grove. i have seen some good sprint car racing at lernerville this year. so to say it is not REAL entertaning. you need to open your eyes.the groves "sprints only" purse is $17300 ...true, the 410 sprint purse is $17300

much....not all of the racing "round here" is sub par....one of the little "unpleasantries" about life , all things aren't perfect........i see simple math isn't one of yours strengths....yes they pull "round" 50 cars on a usual night.....when the feature lines up 65% of the field has a shot at winning....same can't be said "round here"..as to Lernervilles car count.... at the height of The Don Martin days it was typically over 100 with many nights 115 to 120..but those were the Don Martin days....... bless him , one of the greatest promoters RIP
.as to watching "nothin else"....give it a try....it's addicting.....you may "wake up " one day & say to yourself look what i've been "tolerating" when i could have been getting my moneys worth

so where is racing subpar around here in your opinion?? and all you are looking for is 65% of field having a shot at winning. i think math isn't one of your best subjects. i am willing to bet more often then not at any sprint car race most of the time who starts out front wins. if you think you are getting your money worth watching only sprint cars endulge yourself. curious as to which tracks you frequent?? and where racing is superb in your opinion. i can not see being north of Pittsburgh driving east 4 hrs to see sprint cars only too many times.my eyes have always been "wide" open

Why exactly would sprint cars win off the front row more often than any other division on dirt? It is pretty hard to control a pill draw, if the fastest car starts up front more often than not they will win....regardless of division.

Tri City and other tracks are out there. I think all of you know it all's should put up or shut up.
JMO
Well, what would you do, you hypocrite? The back gate route? I'd submit that's what got TCS closed in the first place.
