Kind of funny how Matt is usually here posting up a storm but not a word to be found since this weekend's disaster.

The silence is deafening.

Seems like a lot of assumption here. Did Mr. Wheeling tell anyone why he left? Maybe he had an appointment, or it was his bedtime. Did anyone hear what Mr. Miley said upon entering the press box? Maybe he was just getting in some cardio, or was taking a food order for his loyal staff.

If at first you don't succeed, then maybe you just suck.

Maybe you could fill the blanks in for us?

Speaking of shit....the mens room in the pits was beyond foul! There had to 20+ #'s of fecal matter in the one toilet, and a quite a bit on it, no tp, and no paper towels except the used ones in the overflowing garbage can. I told someone in the concession stand and was told "thats not our job". :( I hope this weekend was an eye opener for them, the place has potential, but it seems they can't see things through others eyes. I think steering clear of racestud for press releases only is a move in the right direction. The mishandling of quite a few problems this season has severely discourage me and those I go there with. Rules are put in place to maintain order and predictable reactions to situations, the lack of consistency leads to a general feeling of disorder there for most. I think they want to do whats right and best, but get caught up in emotion too often. B)

I had been to PPMS twice in the last twenty or so years previous to last season, when I went twice for the Sprint and BB specials. To be honest, I though the owners, in particular Matt, was really trying to do something with the place starting with bringing in the open wheel classes. Then he starting debating people on here. Okay, fine....whatever, I thought. He's outspoken. Then this racing season full of endless Racestud's arguments, admonitions, solicitations, and that did it for me. Hey, they might keep the place open for years under their ownership and promotion. I wish them well for no other reason than the people that enjoy themselves there.

PPMS has made giant strides the last few years from where it was 10 years ago. The racing is generally awesome. Thing is, with every step forward they make out there, it seems they take three back. It sucks, because I have grown to like the place quite much after hating it for most of my time in western PA, and it seems like these bad decisions are going to run them into the ground.

Wait till you see the car count this saturday, you'll be shocked. A lot of racers are going elsewhere.

It won't be shocking at all, that's the problem. I fear I'll be driving to Roaring Knob or Marion Center for my Saturday night racing fix soon.

That place is almost inbred there are so many conflicts of interest. You got Ben & Jared Miley, Steve Baker with his sister as head scorer, and Scott Schempp racing with his father as pit steward. And don't forget Jim Lepro's wife does the pill draw! They get a qualified, neutral official to run their program and they run him off with this fiasco.
