DIRTcar Round Up Steel City Stampede postponed until April 13, 2013 Sarver, PA (October 27, 2013) Dreary conditions and light but steady rain has forced the postponement of tonight’s conclusion of the Fourth Annual DIRTcar Round Up Steel City Stampede. Tomorrow’s forecast suggests equally cold & wet conditions forcing the rain date to be moved to Saturday, April 13. All two-day and three-day passes and wristbands will be honored on the April 13 rain date and the lineups for the B-Mains and features will be locked for the event. Any new/late additions will be permitted to tail the B-Mains or potentially the A-mains of divisions with lower car counts. More details about the re-scheduled conclusion of the DIRTcar Round Up Steel City Stampede will be released as the event nears in the spring. Lernerville Speedway would like to thank all the drivers, car owners, crews, sponsors, officials, employees and of course the finest race fans in the world for a fantastic 2012 season. We greatly look forward to bringing you the best weekly program in the country, as well as the Seventh Annual Firecracker 100 presented by GottaRace.com and the Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup XXII in 2013! I'm not sure if you know this or not but the prime rate for banks from the federal reserve is 0% right now so letting 50 or a 100 k sit in the bank from now till April might net you 50 dollars

What is wrong with trying to run it next weekend? This is pretty lame on their part.

Anyone listening to the weather for this weekend knew the potential for bad weather. It was your decision to go or not. I personally chose not to.

Lets see Ace.........
Calling for rain and or snow all week next week.
Depending on how the hurricane hits there could be major wind damages and major power outages.
Also depending on how the hurricane hits there could be 4-6+ inches of rain and major flooding.
Looks like a VERY smart call on Lernerville's part..........

Well "Ace", Don't open up the track during the week and see what happens. If by the end of the week it doesn't look good then cancel. "Ace"!

It is always nice to see people on here that know it all or at least think they do. If it isn't your opinion then it is the wrong one isn't it? Sounds like you are the all knowing that should be running local race tracks.

Knew that was gonna happen. If we get good weather next April this'll be a nice day of racing to start the season with.

We are aware of the weather conditions and so shall lernerville have been, but yet no effort was made to change up the schedule oh lets say to forget your practice night thursday, and run thursday night friday when weather conditions were favorable, but nevertheless,if teams were watching the weather and still went shame on them.

You can't change it because half of the teams couldn't have made it on a Thursday night. If you think that was really an option, I dont know what to say. I thought a daytime show on Nov 11 or 12 might have been an option,

1C, knowing that Lernerville is finishing this show on that date, I suspect PPMS, Mercer, FASTRAK, and BRP will schedule around it and not run on that date. With the Stampede features all paying well to win, the good cars will all be at Lernerville that day.
