1C, knowing that Lernerville is finishing this show on that date, I suspect PPMS, Mercer, FASTRAK, and BRP will schedule around it and not run on that date. With the Stampede features all paying well to win, the good cars will all be at Lernerville that day.

I hope your right as if other tracks do run, those cars will lose points that attend lernerville.

The weather was skeptical for this weekend but I'm glad we chose to make the 2hr tow! Had a good run winning the heat and anxious to go back in the spring. Only complaint is they gotta do something about putting speakers up or having a person go around and let drivers know what's going on when we were pitted behind the grandstands. Out of curiousity when does Lernerville's weekly racing normally start? Are they going to be racing Friday? We were gonna come out Friday and run the normal show and stay for the Stampede make up.

This year they didn't start till 4/20. If they do something similar next year, the Stampede make-up would be the week before the opener.

You're not kidding I may live in Sarver but definitely pull for the PPMS guys when I'm able to see them at Lernerville.

Its not fair to let cars come in and tag onto the B mains . They were not there to run the heat races or to support the event. The cars that were there should the only ones to try to make it in to the feature.

They should have rescheduled for Nov. 10. We still get nice days in November so it doesn't hurt to reschedule for the 10th and they could have cancelled it early if the weather didn't look promising.

That's what I thought too, Gearhead, but April 13th works for me. They probably talked to as many people as they could before they picked that date, and who knows what they know that we don't that made them not go for 11/10?

The problem is a lot of things can change over the winter. Drivers may be in different rides, they may change divisions, or their home tracks may be open on April 13. They needed to do everything they can to get it in this year or run it on April 14th so that they don't go up against any other tracks.

It's just as much up to other tracks to dodge Lernerville as it is up to Lernerville to dodge other tracks. Lernerville has given 5 1/2 months' notice when they're gonna run the makeup. Nobody can complain they didn't know. And how do we know Lernerville didn't talk to other tracks and all the series involved? I bet they talked to as many of them as they could, and probably for days in advance knowing this storm is coming. Sure there'll be some conflicts, how could there not be with over 240 cars in the pits? But I bet there'll be less conflicts than you think.

These big shows are great but the year end shows are to unpredictable, most tracks have at least 1 big show at the end of the year so why not finish point nights up a few weeks earlier, it would benefit everybody, most guys i talked to over the weekend agreed it should end sooner.

Why should the other tracks like PPMS or MRP have to schedule around the make-up event? They run on Saturday night all year long... and Lernerville knows it. Maybe they should run on Friday night with a alternate of Sunday to help out those who want to run for points at their home track, but chose to go and support this end of the year event.

Points nights already end soon enough at many tracks, Lernerville included. But there are too many scrappy little specials at a lot of tracks, and some of these could be combined to cut down on conflicts and free up some dates. Some of the big specials should be run earlier in the fall, and the original dates of all specials in this area need to be no later than early October so they have a few weeks to play with in case rain dates are needed. Trying to schedule a special for the ass end of October is asking for shitty weather, and that's what happened this week.

Hagerstown running their features from today on November 11.

Lernerville is a little higher up the food chain in local racing than any other local track, and I think it has earned the right to its choice of dates when it gets stuck for a rain date. PPMS has scheduled around Lernerville in the past and will surely do so again, probably by going to Sunday 4/14 itself, and Mercer may be only too glad to step out of the way given the unreliability of April's own weather. They'll probably draw a bigger crowd in April anyway. If they could have run it in November they probably would have, but I'm sure they tried and there was a reason they couldn't.

A little event called the World Finals ring any bells?

Not everyone, but at least half of the Lernerville officials & track prep guys will be.

I don't see any harm in scheduling it for two weeks for the chance we get a nice warm spell after this bitch Sandy blows through and if not then you pull the plug and boot it to April, but like the rest of you keyboard cowboys it's not my call! Was really looking forward to Holtgraver, Blaney and Lynch starting in the front two rows together!

And the April raindate does propose some scheduling issues, but not many tracks start that early anymore anyway, Gary might have done them all a favor by giving them an alibi to wait until the following weekend to open.
