If you can just get down to around 110 you'll still have some room for lead !!

the northeast is the biggest group, yet we have the smallest payouts..seems we have never been treated like the southern boys. at first i chalked it up to them being in it longer and us being the new guys but northeast i believe is the biggest group now. Give us the payouts that the south gets and give us time trials. [/quote] All 2013 FASTRAK NE Series races will run under the same rules as the southern races... including time trials.

Yet another different sanction is the last thing racing in any division needs. This is f*cking stupid.

I disagree , super lates desperately need a series like the macs or stars in their hey day with qualifying !!

I believe this could be the best thing that could happen for the crate RACER'S in the Northeast. The RACER'S need more options. This should bring bigger purses to the Northeast and I'm sure that atleast one of these touring series will have qualifying.. which is the most fair form of racing for the racer. Both series need someone to keep the other honest and there are PLENTY of crate teams in the Northeast to go around. Cant wait to see the schedules for the touring series and see where the money is at...

Wow. As much as half of those crate people spend on that division, it would be smarter just to invest in a super late. Big fish, small pond sindrome I presume..? I can understand some drivers only being able to afford a crate motor but that means a "TRUE" crate. Not one of these "true but shipped out and cost $10000 for performance enhancing capability" crates. And $1500 shocks on each corner of the car? Youve got to be kidding me....? Has everyone lost their sense of logic?

How could it be the best thing for area crate racing???
Was it not long ago that Fastrak said they will no longer allow the Nesmith crate engine seals to be legal in Fastrak competition??
Is RUSH not going to be affiliated with NeSmith???
If the RUSH drivers have to have their engine teched and sealed by NeSmith rules they will not be able to run Fastrak series and races unless they have another engine teched and sealed by Fastrak.
Or is Fastrak going to allow RUSH/NeSmith seals in the Northeast Fastrak races???

Not attacking you personally Rusty.. but since you are the most recent one to bring this idea in front of our eyes.. here we go. I believe that people have a misconstrued idea of these magic $10,000 "Super-Crate" engines tune-ups.. and $1,500 shocks and the 100# lighter parts that are in these "$100,000" crate cars. Could you please tell me which guys in the Northeast have these things on their cars so I can specifically prove that this is not an accurate accusation.

Straight from the RUSH rules... "FASTRAK SEALS ARE PERMITTED".

Racer's won't have to change a thing from what they've done engine-wise previously. Race-1, Ingram, PMI, etc. can still build your RUSH motors.

Who is buying $1500.00 shocks ?? They do exist but there not used in dirt late model applications. If you paid 1500 each that's called the no Vaseline treatment ...

I've heard some rumors that an already existing regional tour may go that route.

Dont worry about it bud, we are just arguing points.

And thats my fault. My price was to high. I should not have exaggerated. However, you do know just as well as i do that many Crate latemodel drivers use shocks comparable to price if not greater than the super late model drivers.

The main point i just try to get at is that these cars are very similar in price to super late models, and run for much less weekly money. But if thats what the drivers want to race, then so be it.

A 604 crate with carb pulleys etc is maybe $7500.00 a 13 degree Cornett 430 is 36k unless its a spread bore then its closer to 40k , that 430 gets 1000 laps beteween rebuilds @8-9 k unless you run RYR then it's 12.5 k. Superlates run unlimited tire rules everything from 1200 to 1600's plus all the wheels for all of those and you have to run soft enough that the tires are trashed after the race. Supers are significantly more expensive to run unless your just going out to dick around.

That is understandable... and a lot of these crate teams do have shocks comparable to Super Late teams. But you can buy a fine used- set of 6 Genesis Shocks for less than $1,500 - $2,000 and be extremely competitive. I know this first-hand.. because we have done it for 3 years now. I am not talking as much about weekly racing as I am the touring series. You are hinting at my point in a way acutally. My thoughts are that the weekly crate racing deal is GREAT for a low-budget team that can't afford the more expensive stuff and that is where these Promoters should aim to get these "low budget" guys.. at the WEEKLY races. If the Promoters/Directors want to advertise that they will have the "Best of the Best Northeast Crate Racers" at their touring events.. then they should aim to please these touring guys by listening to what they ask and have a true "Touring Contingent". Paying higher purses.. Such as $2,500 - $3,000 to win. $250 to start. With their $100 entry fees. Also they should have qualifying at every event. Because a majority of these guys that have been following the series as faithfully as possible for the last 5 years have the higher dollar shocks and fuel etc. in their cars. These guys can put on a good show if you don't handi-cap them by making them draw pills. Let them qualify .. race up front together.. and race fairly for the win. This was proven at the Fastrak World Championships this year.. along with a number of the qualifying shows this year in the Northeast. If you did this.. I can guarantee you atleast 25-30+ cars at every touring event and you will indeed have the best of the best. I know a lot of these guys personally and for the most part they all want the same thing. "A fair shot at the money". I can take being truely beaten by a team/driver that was potentially more prepared.. potentially had a better set-up.. or potentially is just flat-out better than us on any given night "IF" we have a fair shot to start beside/near them. I can not however justify traveling 2-3-4 hours .. pay $100 to race for $1,200.. race against 20+ guys that have equal equipment and draw a number out of a jar and have 8 laps to pass 6 guys to even have a chance at starting in the top 10 of a 25 lap race. I am not taking shots at anybody.. I am just honestly trying to make public the opinion of many of the racers that we have toured with over the past few seasons that share the same opinions as I do. Hopefully they don't fall on deaf ears..

If Max and Pegher are the two fastest cars every night so be it. But atleast it's not because they drew a pill to get there.
