Saying jonny Hendrix needs another win is rediculous !!! Diaz is on a zero fight win streak , coming off a drug suspension , pissed away a previous title shot by skipping a press conference AND has been owned by every wrestler he's ever fought and GSP has some of the best mma wrestling of all time ... It makes as much sense as a 5 lap match race at eldora between me and Scott BloomquistThe rankings are going to be voted on by a group of media members, so it will still be voted on by outside agencies.
I like the idea a lot actually, and it'll make for interesting eliminator fights, but it's not perfect. I suppose nothing will be perfect though, at least this is a step in the right direction.
As far as Hendricks, yeah, he's probably most deserving at this point. I think he should beat Ellenberger though, and he'll probably get his shot. Maia has made things real interesting in the division too. I'd like to see him fight the Condit/McDonald winner for the shot after Hendricks.
Actually, despite GSP's dominance, I think 70 is probably the most interesting division in the UFC currently.

I'm not saying Hendricks needs another win to get at GSP. I feel, like you, that he should be getting the shot instead of Diaz (whose only noteworthy win in the last five years was BJ Penn, and Nick was getting his ass beat until BJ gassed like he always does at 70).
I was just saying that he's already booked to fight Ellenberger at 158 and that he should win that fight and he'll get his shot.

Ah ok got ya. From what I read and heard it sounded like the UFC had a committe to do the rankings. So yeah they really won't be any more viable. So who will fight Cain Velasquez now in your opinion??Cain said jds needs to fight again before a rematch because he had to. They were talking about Barnett last night but I disagree with that matchup. Only option in my head would be jds vs Bigfoot and the winner gets Cain. Seeing how he beat them both badly not a bad argument. Ah hell give big country a chance!!! Lol gotta love Roy Nelson even tho he is kind of a douche sometimes
I think Cormier should fight Velazquez. Even though they're teammates, they've said they'll fight each other. I don't know that Cormier is a big enough draw to make it worth it to the UFC on PPV yet. That's a problem.
I'd like a Barnett matchup too, but Cormier recently beat Barnett, and honestly, I think that this point that Barnett should be considering retirement from mma and should be considering professional wrestling (Barnett is awesome at it, actually) and a "fight" with Lesnar over in the UFC.
I love me some Roy Nelson. I really do, but I don't think he's done enough to warrant a title fight in the UFC. He's the kind of guy that's lost every big fight he's ever been in, but is generally pretty entertaining in all of them.
Honestly, I 'd like to see Bones move up to heavy and fight Cain. That would be an interesting fight fo sho.

Actually I hear Dana just signed Denny Fenton to take out jones at 205 .... Any dude tough enough to stick broads who look like honey boo boos mom just might be tough enough to run through jones !!!]
Cormier was analyst on fuel tv post fight show and said there's no way he's fighting Cain..... He's already debating moving down to 205 to avoid the fight. Cormier cornered Cain in his fight with jds. No way they gonna fight unless UFC makes them IMO. Cormier is adamant that he won't fight cain
Roy actually has great resume but no significant wins. He has not had one no name fight since coming to UFC except maybe last fight w Herman. Every UFC loss has been a decision. But that being said verdum destroyed him for 3 rounds as did jds.... But he comes to fight that's for sure.
Jones will be at heavyweight before long I'm thinking. He walks around 225-235 which is not much lighter then Cain at around 245-250. There is no viable challengers for him at 205 anymore.

That was comical but at least I figured out the difference between wedge and a wedgyThe most absurd thread in race stud history has to be the whole conversation about cross weight .....

In reality nothing was figured out in that thread .... Literally the dude said to make something 20 pounds heavier you need to add 20 pounds ...... No $hit Sherlock !!! To make an average female attendee at the races skinny you need to subtract 200 pounds .... To make super bench racer , stk car 3 . Davey lee and Dlychris all have 12 inches each you would have to add 11 inches to each dude ... To make Davey Lee able to run too 10 in a late model at humming bird you would have to subtract all of Scott bloomquists driving talent and add it to Davey lee.... To make hesston packed the need to remove pt Barnum the carnival barker and add earl baltes ... I can go on for weeks ... More was learned in this last post than all of the nonsense typically posted by dirt student and his followers ..That was comical but at least I figured out the difference between wedge and a wedgy

It's a new tecnique I learned to check wedge !!! You find the biggest girl you can find at the local bar and have her sit on the bottle until it disappears !!! How long that process takes determines how much wedge you have !!!The orena sports bar in Orlando is still open !!! I just bougt a bottle of booze if anyone cares !!!

The only way you should be allowed to get an immediate title shot in a new weight class is if you are the current champion in the prior weight class. Petis should be fighting for the 155 strap and he's afraid he will lose to Henderson and thinks aldo is an easier fight ..So it was announced that Anthony Pettis will be next for Jose Aldo...
Thoughts?

I'm not huge fan of title shots with no fights in the class either, but this is one of the few instances where it actually makes sense.
I don't think that he's afraid of Henderson. He beat Bendo when they fought. It's more along the lines that he didn't want to wait until after Gil gets his shot at Bendo to fight for the 55 strap and that there were no money fights for Aldo. It was smart of him business-wise to text Dana, because he knew Dana would bite. The other options for Aldo are The Korean Zombie and Ricardo Lamas. They'd have hard time selling either of those fights on free television and ZUFFA knows it. Hell, they were probably praying that somebody at 55 would call out Aldo, actually.

I think pettis could win vs Henderson again. Pettis has greatly improved over his last few fights. He is very dangerous. And I like the pettis Aldo fight. I would pay to watch that if it's not a free card. Should be interesting. And I don't blame pettis. He has already been screwed out of his shot at the 155 belt several times now. He wants to fight and doesn't want to wait around. Henderson will beat Melendez handily. I think melendez is overhyped. 155 division in strikeforce was week at best.He knows he's not going to land the show time kick again to win the fight in the 5th round ..
