What sounds like a smart business to me? How does it make sense to have a $100,000 car competing for a couple hundred or thousand dollars a week? Doesn't sound like a smart BUSINESS decision to me. The only people making money off of racing are the outlaws and lucas oil series and those guys at the top are the only ones making money. This is exactly why I call it a hobby. And as for raising the purse, last year Dog Hollow averaged more than 20 late models every week so obviously the purse does not affect the car count because these guys realize it's not worth the little extra money because they are not making any money off of racing. And since you all are claiming it to be a business I don't understand what you want Jim to do? A business is supposed to make money? Dog Hollow is a great track that allows us to continue to enjoy racing and I have a lot of respect for it. If you people keep crying and complaining you are going to push every track to close. So think about how spending a little more cash can help save the sport. What will you do if you have no place to enjoy your sport? I know what I will be doing, yes honey i'm coming, I will just be having for chunya, goodnight ya'll.

U are such a tool...have fun munching on that fat-sweaty-boliver pussy, ewww!!!

IMO as someone who plans to race at dhs weekly I approach it as this, I don't agree with the fees to pay for practice as others and always thought if its good enough to practice on its good enough to race on. He is a business owner and has to do whats best for him and me as a business owner (yes racers are business owners) I have to do what I think is best for me, and that is I will find another track to race at and use that as practice. I don't personally like the idea of paying to practice and getting nothing in return so I will choose to sit at home or finad another track that is racing that night. I don't blame anyone for doing what they think is best for them as an owner. Just my 2 cents.

so what does other track charge for practice ,id like to know .please give me some track names and prices

Pittsburgh is $25 . Lernerville $30-$25 pending Marion Center $25 but don't worry . Stands are always free for the bleacher supporting Skull and Tater to enjoy great track prepped practice sessions.

I stand firm on the fact track owners / promoters need to make money. There is not a business out there that cant improve in one way or another. Racetracks are in the same position. The old atage still applies. "You cant please everybody". Promoters Thank You....for giving us a place to race!

Stateline speedway in busti, ny is always $10 for all day practice and free to get in stands. But track is usually dry and dusty for practice. But that's what a practice price should be. Not full entry of $25. But if I needed to shake down my car I would pay the $25 to go because at least the option is there for those who need it.

considering how dry the track always is, its probably now just wet enough to prepare a nice racing surface.

by the way, glad to hear he dug a hole in the middle of his property to "give us" new clay

Yea . maybe he should of had it trucked in from Slate Lick
