Pill draw for qualifying order. Group them in packs of 4-5 cars. I believe they get a green, white, checkered. We will clearly put qualifying groups (1, 2, 3, etc) on the board. Straight up starts for the heats.
If we have up to 4 heats, I'll take the top 2 to make the Citizens Bank fast dash. If we have 5+ heats, I'll just take the heat winner as that'd be too many cars for a dash.
Pill draw for the starting order for the dash. No redraw for starting line up post dash. The dash winner gets $100 and starts on the pole for feature, 2nd starts second, etc.
20 Lap feature.
Stush's Auto Huchko Racing hard charger- $100 award. I'll pick the HB Hard Luck winner.
I'll have a trophy compliments of 3K Enterprises Inc and a large fake check from Bryan Signs and Decals. I'll be giving out "In Memory of Ed Laboon" stickers. I'd appreciate you guys putting them on your cars for my Dad.
Sportsman will be the main attraction and run first. Raceiver and transponders mandatory. Track usually has some to rent, and the other divisions are usually good with lending/renting them out too,
Any other questions, fire away.

Uses their head ...... You realize these are racers your talking about right ?It has been a long time for a B-main....
But back in the day they started 34 to 38 cars in a feature....
and it took forever (and a lot of torn up cars) to run 12 laps.
If they start 32.... let's hope everyone uses their head.

"Vince Laboon has done a fantastic job of organizing this event and we are proud to be a part of it," commented Speedway Owner Matt Miley. "Ed was a wonderful man and an ardent supporter of motorsports for many years. It is nice to see the drivers and marketing partners working together to honor Ed with such a prestigious event."
The Late Model Sportsman competitors will begin the evening with group time trials that will determine the lineups for the ten lap heat events. The top finishers in the preliminary events will then redraw for positions in the Citizens Bank Fast Dash. The winner of the dash will receive $100 for his efforts and will also start on the pole for the feature event. PPMS management will start a maximum of 32 cars in the feature event.
Bob Schwartzmiller was victorious in the inaugural Ed Laboon Memorial event last August and has indicated he will be in attendance this week to defend his crown. Other invaders who have indicated they will make the trek to "Dirt's Monster Half Mile" include Tim Burns, Leigh Wheeler, Bob Sloss and Rod Laskey. In addition, Rusty Martz who scored the Spring Showdown victory on May 18th is hoping to take home the first place prize money.
Nick Kocuba, Brian Huchko, Joey Koteles, Drew Koteles and Bill Robertson will lead the brigade of PPMS regulars who would like nothing better than to keep the $2,000 first place prize money close to home.
The RUSH Pro-Late Model competitors will also be featured this week as they will compete in the "Topless 25" event. The 25 lap main event will find the division's competitors removing their roofs to provide the fans with an opportunity to see inside the cockpit. The winner of the event will be rewarded with a $1,000 paycheck.
This Saturday is also Pittsburgh Circle Track Club Night and all members of the club who present a valid membership will receive Free Grandstand Admission.
The Pit and Grandstand Admission Gates for this Saturday's event open at 5:00PM with the first green flag waving promptly at 7:00PM.
Adult Grandstand Admission is $15.00. Seniors, Ages 60 and Over, are admitted for $14.00 with Juniors, Ages 13 to 16, priced at $10.00. Admission for Children aged Six through 12 is $5.00 and Children Under Age Six will be admitted Free. In addition, all children aged Six through 12 will receive a free gift when they present their admission ticket at the PPMS Gift Shop, which now features Apparel by Denise.
Pit Admission for this week's event is $35.00.
Don't forget that the Checkered Flag Food Court has a great variety of amusement park munchies like monster chicken wings, pepperoni rolls, grilled chicken sandwiches and cotton candy at "fan friendly prices."
Fans are encouraged to sign up for free race day text messages to get the latest information on weather or traffic delays that may impact the racing action by clicking on the "Rained Out" logo on the speedway website, www.ppms.com.
Join us this Saturday evening as we pay tribute to Ed Laboon and showcase the area's premier Late Model Sportsman competitors in a 20 lap main event that is sure to keep everyone in attendance on the edge of their seats.

I thought this race already had a LOCAL decal guy helping out ?Just spoke with Jim Bloom, owner of Animal Graphics and Signs. He wants to offer two $200 gift certificates towards a graphics package with his company. One for the Hard Luck and Hard Charger of the race. I will share his info with those two winners. Thanks Jim!

Jon, I'm sure it does.. Maybe several. I know Bryan Signs and Decals did stuff for this race last year..
I wanted to support the event AND promote my business at the same time...
In NO way am I attempting to step on anyones toes by supporting this event.. A few years back I sponsored an event at Lernerville as well.
You are one of IF not the best in your field.. and that is what I'm trying to be as well.. I have created some awesome relationships and met some great friends doing what I do.
AND that's what it's all about to me!
I apologize if me sponsoring this event offends you.

I did .... And politics prevented it from being mentioned. 2 decal gus is not the same as any of the other conflictsJon, Bryan Signs and Decals is a sponsor of the purse itself and is donating a large novelty check to the winner and will have his logo viewable in the victory lane pictures.
Animal Graphics has graciously offered up to $400 in package discounts to the Hard Charger and Hard Luck award winners.
I hardly see how these two are connected. By your logic, a tv station should not accept commercials from both Coke and Pepsi.
I also have two tire shops, multiple garages. two landscaping companies, and dozens of race teams offering up donations or products for the race. Each is unique and appreciated.
Instead of discouraging businesses from supporting the race AND promoting their business at the same time, making statements about how it benefits the Mileys and making comments about the Pit admission costs- perhaps you could support a race in my Dad's memory for the Stockers who rarely receive the spotlight.
You mentioned. Ppms is Bryan's home track and he contributed to the event. Animal doesn't live anywhere near ppms , and having a competitor giving out gift certificates serves no purpose other than to siphon potential customers off Bryan to animal. It's funny you have the same anti liberal /union feelings I do but we are diametrically opposed on almost every other topic. The other company's you mentioned typically have a small work radius they draw clients from where as shipping decals specifically to racers doesn't have such limitations. Add to that a gift certificate toward something with an indefinite price tag such as racing decals essentially holds no value. It's like
Me saying ill give 200 off a deck purchase but you must present the coupon before I gave the price ... It's meaningless. As a side note I don't give discounts or coupons for anything ever ... That's a side effect of being slammed with work all year every year. I hope the race is a success but I do not condone selling your soul to make it happen.

Dude you truly are a dick bag,why must you insist on taking everything out of context? Politics has absolutely nothing to do with a RACE...let me ask you this...how much did you contribute to this event? ...if nothing which I presume... I truly feel sorry for you....this Guy went above and beyond to make a special event in his Dad's name so who gives a shit who sponsors what and where there from it's a once a year event and its not like it's a money making ordeal on a weekly basis....maybe you should think about what your gonna say before you start running your gotor mouth.....have a nice dayI did .... And politics prevented it from being mentioned. 2 decal gus is not the same as any of the other conflicts
