It's no secret that the Late Model counts are way down this year. I went last night thinking 15 cars and I would have been fine with that. No way in the world did I ever imagine that 7 was even a possibility. Blew my mind last night. Now that I've had some time to think about it, I'm not nearly as annoyed about as I was in the heat of the moment. I had about 13 cars in my mind that I was sure would be there and figured there would be a few that I didn't think of that would show up. Oh well, life goes on.the dream pays $100,000 to win and they only had 83 or so cars. I was there in 2004 and 05 and they had like 175. I have been keeping track this season as far as LMs per track and avg cars per week and its way down. So far only two tracks avg 20+ cars

ULMS had 24 late models at Mercer for the Chiller Thriller.well, it is just a decline in cars, period. couple of weeks ago around stateline had 28 for 10,000, mckean 25 for 7,500, and eriez 12 for 2,900. that in lm country.....nobody up there seems to want address a problem. but 3,000 - 4,000 races are going to disappear.

That's not enough, have to have 100 cars to be a successful event to these guys. Car counts are down in every damn class, not just super lates.
I have an idea though, lets add 17 more divisions to every track from the Ohio line to lets say about Clearfield and the best part is they will race for no money, but instead for a trophy....this will surely be the savior of racing in our region.
