I think Jeff has done a great job trying to get the place up and running. I have NEVER liked the track layout. I could count on one hand how many times the high side has worked. It has nothing to do with growing a set as much as it has to do with the fastest line around the place. Have seen guys follow the leader and move up and lose ground or positions. Not jeffs fault but all to do with track layout. Not sure why, I have seen other small tight tracks that are conducive to good racing and passing. With all the new owner has done, I hope he does make the track better and fix the water problem at bottom of 1 n 2.

It makes you wonder what might have happened if he would have waited til now to buy a track with all the tracks that have closed over the past year.

Im not trying to bash anyone but like kip said all it takes is a couple of cars to move up there and run. Just ask dutch davies he always used the high side at that place.

The track is 2ft x 2ft in the pictures I
Seen .... Please explain how running the top side of a bullring like that takes " balls "

I dont know if there is any truth to this. The tracks layout is the same as the old Mahaffey speedway.Has anyone else heard this

Kip is correct. If a couple cars would move to the outside it is a very capable groove to run. There have been many guys that have proved over the years that the top will work. The transitions need fixed and some clay added before winter sets in so it has time to mesh with what is already there. As for the water issue at the bottom of 1 & 2, it has always been there, no one has come up with a solution for it yet that works.

Nothing like a little dirt in your BEER!

Years ago they would put cones up in hot laps to make everyone run higher. This wasn't the classiest way of doing things, but very effective. Dutch Davies, David Scott, Robbie Blair, and Matt Lux all raced there early in their LM careers and all ran the top side to win races. The clay needs pulled up every week to.

I watched Dave Satterlee make the outside work at the old Hidden Valley. Everyone needs to give Jeff a chance. The track sat idle for seven years. He's giving it a new lease on life, just give him the benefit of the doubt and let him try what he has proposed. He's told me his plans for this winter, when he wants to, I'm sure he'll have it posted on the website or on here.
