I wasn't there but it has been alleged that Ed Lynch Sr. took a swing at Smokey Schempp during the argument over everything that happened that night. I was told by somebody who shall remain nameless that Ed got a raw deal that night, and everybody who knows the Lynches knows that they tend to get hot as hell in a hell of a hurry if you screw them over and refuse to make it right. Understandable that there was a suspension if Senior did what they said, but if WRG gave a shit about their bottom line they would have swallowed their pride and only suspended Ed Sr., not the whole damn team.

I think I'd have to have more than secondhand evidence to believe Ed would pull something like that, Skull. I have to think that if he indeed did do that, there might be more to it than you were told. As for Ed not being bigger than Lernerville, well, Lernerville ain't what it once was, and the asses Ed can put in the seats very well might matter a hell of a lot on an Outlaw night depending on the financial state of the track and of WRG, to which we obviously are not privy. If you have a thousand or 2 fewer people show up on an Outlaw night, that ain't chump change, and if they reschedule this Outlaw show and you wind up seeing a lot more bare wood than normal, A) WRG's bean counters might have a thing or 2 to say about the foolhardiness of being a slave to the letter of the rules, and B ) it would say that maybe indeed Ed IS bigger than Lernerville. If I were WRG I would not reschedule this race, because I don't think whether or not the Lynches are bigger than Lernerville is something they really want to test out.

Who draws more fans .... Lynch or " the Pennsylvania Piss Pig " and why ?Again, you fat F*ck, you are absolutely delusional. Please go stuff your face with some more fast food and leave the racing discussion to people with a clue.

I thought the track drew pretty well this year. Most people have grown used to Lynch not being there every week. A WoO race is a different story, fair enough. But, more often than not over the last half dozen or so years, Ed has stepped on his dick at these shows. There might have been a time when the people Ed drew might have made somewhat of a difference on the bottom line. I doubt that is the case anymore. Again, I still like watching him run, however his best days are clearly behind him.

The Outlaws are an attaction that doesn't need Lynch there to draw well. Average Joe racefan who likes to see the nations best sprint drivers isn't getting on this message board and saying oh I am not going now Lynch isn't racing.

I don't think WRG's bean counters will give a shit who deserves what if this race is rescheduled and they see a ticket revenue line that is noticeably lower than normal for a WoO race at Lernerville. They'll be asking why the numbers are down so much. Hey, maybe you guys who think you know so much will be right and the attendance will be normal. I don't think it will be, not with all the other stuff competing for the casual fan's attention and money around here this time of year. But what I'm saying is that that is not something a track and a series owned by a parent company with a reputation for being in iffy financial shape really should be testing out.

IF this race is rescheduled and the crowd happens to be down I'd be willing to that high school and college football and hunting season would be more of a factor keeping people away than if Lynch was there or not.
