Ed Lynch senior has been swinging at people at the local race tracks for 60 years! Couldn't start to tell you how many fights Pretty impresisve that an 80 year old man still has that much spunk! Watched him smash the carb of a hemi one night with a sledgehammer! I say let him and Smokey square off! I'll put my money on senior!

High school football would only cost them fans if they rescheduled for a Friday night, and even WRG and the local crew know better than to do that! BTW, I don't think Ed Sr. is quite 80 yet, I think he's 2 or 3 less than that.

I think I'd have to have more than secondhand evidence to believe Ed would pull something like that, Skull. I have to think that if he indeed did do that, there might be more to it than you were told. As for Ed not being bigger than Lernerville, well, Lernerville ain't what it once was, and the asses Ed can put in the seats very well might matter a hell of a lot on an Outlaw night depending on the financial state of the track and of WRG, to which we obviously are not privy. If you have a thousand or 2 fewer people show up on an Outlaw night, that ain't chump change, and if they reschedule this Outlaw show and you wind up seeing a lot more bare wood than normal, A) WRG's bean counters might have a thing or 2 to say about the foolhardiness of being a slave to the letter of the rules, and B ) it would say that maybe indeed Ed IS bigger than Lernerville. If I were WRG I would not reschedule this race, because I don't think whether or not the Lynches are bigger than Lernerville is something they really want to test out.
