Will the stocks be on 2bbl or 4 bbl carbs?

I believe the Open will accommodate 4-bbl as well as 2-bbl. This race is intended to showcase the speed and excitement of asphalt racing and give our dirt racing friends a cool and interesting venue to run one more time before the season ends.

Hey Greg. I'm not sure if Rob called him or not. He's monitoring this board as you'd expect so if he didn't contact Don Gamble of Rappin on Racin yet...

RACE PAYOUT AND PIT/ADMISSION TO BE ANNOUNCED SOON

Keystone Open Announced for Saturday October 12th
at CNB Bank Raceway Park in Clearfield, PA

Track Management has announced the Keystone Open Saturday October 12th, 2013. The plan for the event is to give regional dirt track racers the opportunity to try out the Asphalt Speedway now that most of the local dirt track racing has ended, and at the same time get in one more event for the Street Stock, Charger, and 4-Cylinder Teams who have supported the track in the last few events.

"We are looking to build some solid numbers as we make plans for next year," said track owner Rob Hindt. "We've had some great conversations with local racers and we are really looking forward to working with them at this event as everyone makes plans toward next season."

"We are building something, and we need to get the local guys here that we can build our programs around into the future. You can bring in touring series, but there is nothing like the local and regional racers... that's what I've always believed and that is what I want to make happen here at the CNB Bank Raceway Park."

"I think its going to be a great event and we are hoping the fans will come out and support us as we continue working to make asphalt racing a mainstay here in the Central PA Region!"

Details are being worked out, some are posted below. For questions regarding the event please call the speedway at 814-389-6126.

To be more specific - for Asphalt - If you are running a 602 Crate, you can use the Holley 4150 (650cfm/ 4bbl). If you are running a built motor, you can use the Holley 4412CT (500cfm/ 2bbl). For Dirt Street Stocks - any 2 or 4bbl up to 750cfm. For Dirt Pure Stocks - 4412 (500cfm/ 2bbl).

Bobby Siegel from Hummingbird is looking good as-is Hummel 28p from AMP. I have a number of other guys who are considering. Plus the guys who contacted Rob, John Elliott and Walt Timblin, Jr. The main thing if you're considering coming is to just do it!

so no chance of adding dirt late models? still think you might do ok with 3 area classes

I mentioned to Rob a few times about adding super lates. His concern is safety as the modern lightweight big power cars have some triple digit speed potential...

UPDATE:

CNB is looking to add Motordrome and Erie modifieds to the show. We have interest and commitments from a few teams already. If you have a modified and are interested in running at the October 12 Keystone Open, please contact the track phone at 814-389-6126 or rob@ontrackracingexperience.com.

Another cool idea floating around is to sell rides in the On Track car to start the feature events. Oswego speedway has a two seat modified that tacks onto the back of the fields for features and runs a few laps then pulls in. If anyone would like the chance to see what it's like to start a feature in an asphalt late model from the passenger seat, contact same as above. We are still developing the package so suggestions are welcome as always.

Any idea what you might charge for these rides? Also, will they be doing any rides in the late model before or after the races?

I'll have Rob post the pricing on here asap. It's something track management has been discussing. If there's interest, of course that makes it an easier decision.

Many thanks

The Motordrome and Erie mods are e-mod type cars.
