I'm
Going to assume there was a dismal fan and car turn out that would have resulted in huge losses with the posted purse

MCR management had difficult decisions to make today. Cold weather, overcast skies, saturated grounds and spitting rain greeted our team early this morning. The first choice was to cancel todays make-up event for Saturdays rain out - reschedule for a later date and risk bad weather again. Also, that would require another round trip for the teams who stayed on site to support the Fall Classic. After more discussion among the team members and assurance from the crew that they could have a decent track ready for racing, the team decided to move forward with a race program that included reduced purses. While there is no perfect scenario when met with challenging weather conditions, we tried to make the right decision and let the racers race rather than canceling the event and rescheduling a make-up date for todays event. Nobody likes making these tough decisions and unfortunately, not everyone will be happy with the outcome - including the MCR team. For the teams, fans and all who supported MCR all season including the Fall Classic - thank you from our entire team.

Idk about that. ULMS still paid $5,000 at Sharon's weekday show when 7 cars showed up this summer. Would like to know why the cut considering they raised the stock purse from $300 to $1,000 lol

Yup I'm a dick!!!

Yeah, don't hold your breath on that one! I have to hand it to promoter of 'Outlaws in the Forest' event at Allegany Mtn. He let each driver in for free. In all my years I have never seen that done. Nice for a change.

It's never acceptable to cut the purse after the cars are already there, no matter the excuse. If the guys knew about it before they left the shop to get there it's one thing, but to let them already get there and tell them at that point the purse is cut is just wrong. That's a good way to lose any faith and trust your guys have in you.

The great John Kennedy and all his money and they cut the purse. It's his series and his track promotional team. Not a good way to make race teams feel good about supporting you. I also heard Kennedy left Sunday morning so Zuver we get all the verbal abuse about the cut purse.

I guess he should have just done like Tyler county ... Cancel for no reason , don't reschedule , keep everyone money and don't pay many of the racers

IMO, if you're gonna have a purse like that you should have the funds secured through sponsors and whatever other means to cover it before the race weekend. You should never count on the gate to cover the purse, there's too many variables.

It seems to me that MCR is giant clusterf*ck regardless of who's running it. Zuver and Kennedy have the best intentions, but the mess that is MCR bit them in the ass too.
