The guy has spent millions of dollars onnthe sport we love . I'm in the minority but I have no problem with him cutting that purse to take less of a loss . I don't go for the whole mind set of " he has money so he shouldn't mind pissing it down a rat hole " . If he had packed pits and grand stands and was making money I would have an issue with the cut purse . If racing is going to continue we can't expect track owners to relentlessly lose their asses everytime they have a race . Even if they can afford it , there's no logical reason for them to take money earned in other businesses to sustain failure in the racing business. I'm just saying as a racer and a business owner I would have had no problem with te purse being cut if the stands were empty and I assume they wereIMO, if you're gonna have a purse like that you should have the funds secured through sponsors and whatever other means to cover it before the race weekend. You should never count on the gate to cover the purse, there's too many variables.

I agree but still think car owners and drivers will see what he has done with cutting the purse and that will make them gun shy to trust him to pay the full purse for the pittsburgher. The guy has spent millions of dollars onnthe sport we love . No doubt it may hurt car counts for the Pittsburgher , but at this point it is what it is . If the stands are empty promoters can't afford to pay big purses . So as racers we have to either race for less or not race ... Id rather race for 15k to win the pittsburgher than not race at all. And look at all of the tracks closing ... That's where it's headedI agree but still think car owners and drivers will see what he has done with cutting the purse and that will make them gun shy to trust him to pay the full purse for the pittsburgher.

Back when the pittsburgher paid that kind of money the stands were packedIf Kennedy cannot back up a $7,500 to win purse at McKean, how is he going to back up $35,000 to win at a track that is known for empty stands?

Plus what ever he paid Miley to lease the place ... Maybe the current economic conditions just won't support that type of event ... Dirt track racing is a red neck hill billy sport , always was and always will be . You need low grand stand admission and you absolutely have to allow fans to BYOBThe NDRL race at Roaring Knob was definitely a financial disater. It sounds like the bottom if falling out of this organization if they are cutting purses? I don't see Pittburgh generating enough fans to cover a $150000 purse.

Totally agree , look at all successful big time late model shows they either have 1 support class or zero support classesIMO, as far as McKean County goes, if they want better fan turn out, keep it simple...if you're going to run a big late model show, 1 or 2 more classes would suffice; having 6 additional divisions does nothing but drag out the show, & is wholly unnecessary.

Roaring Knob and McKean are both out in the middle of nowhere. That impacts the crowd more than anything. PPMS is far more centrally located and has way more people to draw from.

McKean's World of Outlaws race a couple years back drew way more people than the stands could hold, and the huge overflow stood and watched from the pits. The track IS capable of drawing large crowds!

That race was held at a far more fan friendly time of the year. And the Outlaws draw well wherever they go. People travel great distances to see them.
Less people are going to travel long distances to see some mid level regional drivers and a couple big block modified drivers in late models.

I will respond to you when you have a dude who will proudly admit to be with your grimyJon you cry like a little b!tch about the Tyler county pit pass deal last year and now you want to give Smode to Kennedy like your girlfriend at a Pittsburgher? Talk about a total hypocrite back marker! You have zero chance of winning any sort of big payday so you're ok with fellow racers getting screwed like a pit lizard in your trailer!!!!!
Inbred piss pig ass. You don't even go to the races since there isn't a dude left who wants your cream pie cathyesque self. If every car that's ever been lapped at Pittsburgh quit racing I don't think there would be any left .... Yes even the dudes who win consistently have been lapped ...

Whatever pit lizard he's with will service you and if your last name is Kennedy Jon will personally service you lol!
Knee pads and dropped trowel so you could " put in work " being a grimy
Piss pig starting at age 13 is something to be proud of .... And living section 8 on the tax payers dime
Is also very impressive !!!! The fact that no one sticks up for you speaks volumes ...

So, in other words are you saying something to the extent of if...for example: 200 + fans/pits tickets are sold then the purse will be $1,500.00 to win or if under 200 fans/pits tickets are sold then the purse will be $750.00 dollars? The guy has spent millions of dollars onnthe sport we love .
