Is this the same Dave Blaney that hardly finishes Nascsar races if it is he must have been a lot better than he is at Nascar why would he stop racing sprints if he is a hall of famer

Steve Kinser ran NASCAR in the Quaker State 26 along with a few years as an IROC competitor. His lack of success in NASCAR will not keep him out of the hall of fame.

Steve Kinser and Sammy Swindell are already in the Hall of fame at Knoxville.

For the person who asked. the committee who votes on induction to the Hall is made up of around 70 members of the media from all over the country. I really don't know the ages of most, but there are surely some old pharts like myself and also some younger newer members who were not around when drivers such as Gus Linder were racing. Gus started in the very early 1950s with a flathead Ford coupe and went from the coupe Modifieds to the SuperModieds which morphed into Sprint Cars in the local area. Myself, Jean Lynch and All Star founder Bud Miller I think are the only local members of the committee. GOOD RACING!!!! Walt
